Bloody brilliant. You should have put some movement into the guy or removed him completely.

You're right. I was justifying it as the guy being tired and accepting his own fate, but this idea is better played out with some subtle motion:

And here's a color one with out as many filters. I think the b&w is more powerful, but this one is kinda cool too:

Outstanding!
Love everyting about it; the style, the technical skill, and all the little details - like the lens flare from down the street during the flash, and the shadow behind moody.

Could you make the ruins just a tiny bit more visible, so that he is still seeing the past, but a little bit more aware that it is no longer really there?

Close. The MGS quote is actually, "War has changed."
Mine is a Fallout 3 reference. It was a pretty interesting parallel when the games came out. (MGS4 in June 2008 and Fallout 3 in October 2008)

kinda looks like a rock album cover (thinking more electronic alt rock then anything else, such as machinae supremacy)

The dome's nice, but Hansen doesn't quite fit in. I'm not sufficiently versed with Photoshop to say how to fix it, though.

Would be stunning, but your blue light is shining onto the walls from behind the viewer, not from the back of the scene, where it is clearly brightest. Otherwise, stunning!
