I like the idea, but the text is printed to cleanly. Maybe add a noise layer or something to randomly lighten(/darken?) the text? Compare the uniform look of your text with the "The New York Times" text at the top. The juxtaposition makes your work look funny. The actual article is A+

Now with color! (I'm new to colorization)

wow! Great job! May I ask how you did this?

I did it the lazy way, by copying the whole image and desaturating it, then putting color underneath that layer.

You've done a good job there ky1e, the only issue i spotted is if you look at the cats left leg at the top where the "trousers" meet with the bottom of the "jacket" the suit colour has strayed into the fur apart from this a good effort seeing how you are new.

Well done. A small tip for colorization. Try and match the vibrance of the colors with the contrast level of the photo. For instance this photo is fairly low contrast so the colors should be a little more muted or the contrast of the photo should be pumped up to match the vibrancy. But well done indeed.

Three different cats or all 3 of the same cat? With or without stars (Black sky or w/stars).

Sammy the kitten was a precocious cat, and grew at a prodigious rate. His family knew he would always be special, but times were just too hard to keep a kitten that loved top hats and just couldn't stop growing.
At the tender age of 9 months, Sammy the cat found a new home with the Cute and Carny Carnival, finding acceptance for his big size and small town smarts.
Wasn't long before word of Sammy spread, and he was soon jumping from carnival to carnival, side show to side show.
That is, until one day when Sammy hit it big. After performing near Hollywood Hills, CA, he was discovered by a talent agent and cast in roles fit for a smooth talking, large growth ginger such as himself. The world had never seen such a dapper cat, and all the lovely cat ladies of Hollywood sought to pose and film with this star Kitty.
Wasn't long though, as it never is, before fame got to big Sammy's head. Thinking he was invincible, with wads of cash and a minx that kept walking in and out of his life, he became king pin in the States' biggest gambling rings, raking in cash and clawing card counters to shreds.
The law cant look away for long, though, and even the coolest cats have to fall hard at some point. Sammy's illustrious career faded, and he hit the tables too hard. After one big bust, Sammy found a new kind of cage. If he fits, he sits. And that poor carny cat sits there to this day.
