Bama fans laughing rn is so funny to watch like they did something lmao
6
u/codbgs97 Alabama Crimson Tide 21h ago
Welcome to rivalries lmfao they lose their minds every time we lose in football so we can laugh at them.

7
u/GoodStuff2713 Alabama Crimson Tide 21h ago
Laughing that the refs did all that and they still lost. Obviously we’d rather have the season they had. Happy I don’t have to watch Broomes antics anymore.
3
u/carlos_rodz_ Duke Blue Devils 21h ago
Dude is the laziest player I’ve seen this tournament. His off ball game is atrocious
-5
u/TuskaloosaAB Alabama Crimson Tide 21h ago
No shame in losing to the likely national champions in the Elite 8. I knew we were likely cooked when we drew Duke’s region. Wouldn’t you feel the same if Arizona got a round further than Arizona State and choked?
1
u/nmantz Arizona State Sun Devils 21h ago
I mean you’re not completely off base but a little bit. First of all, Arizona always loses in by the Sweet 16 even if their lil hearts are convinced this year is the year. And whenever they lose in football, Basketball always comes up. But ultimately, if Arizona made the final four and lost in a close game I wouldn’t shit on em. I mean I didn’t even go in the post game thread this year and shit on them when they lost like they always do.
0
u/TuskaloosaAB Alabama Crimson Tide 21h ago
It’s just different here. It’s funny to relish in the misery of Auburn fans. I know Bama is destined to keep up with good seasons including potential tournament runs but this Auburn team kind of had lightning in a bottle like they had back in 2019. Lots of regression coming up so it’s fun to shit on them.
Plus the fact that even if you were a neutral, all the showboating gets annoying.
16
u/ReciprocateEnergy 21h ago
How you know we’re going into a recession. Capital one offering a hat if you win the nationwide sweepstakes lol
8
u/TuskaloosaAB Alabama Crimson Tide 21h ago
Laughing my ass off knowing this was probably Auburns best chance at a natty and they blew it. Massive regression coming next season. Call God or whatever it is…?
7
u/Relative-Willow-1248 Auburn Tigers 21h ago
We’ll be back. You won’t. Mark Sears is leaving, and so are your chances at a championship.
1
u/Western-Ad150 Alabama Crimson Tide 9h ago
The barn’s starting lineup was 30 years old. Broome, Kelly, Cardwell, Denver, Bacon-Lasagna should be gone and Pettiford should get drafted
17
u/Crazy0tto Auburn Tigers 21h ago
Glad you find it so funny. Florida was the better team. Auburn had plenty of chances but didn’t capitalize on them and Auburn didn’t match Florida’s intensity in the 2nd half. Good game Gators!

u/TonyWilliams03 Purdue Boilermakers 21h ago
Karma wins again. Which coach is Bruce going to throw under the bus this year?
3
u/MattAU05 Auburn Tigers 17h ago
What does that even mean? There are few coaches in the country (maybe none) who give more credit to their coaches staff than Bruce. And I’ve never seen him do anything but take the blame himself for a loss. What a dumb comment.

u/KetoSaiba Kentucky Wildcats 21h ago
Biggest stat here is this: 12 turnovers in the second half.
Neutral-ish observer. That's inexcusable. It was Auburn's game to lose at half time, and they sure did lose it.
3
u/Crazy0tto Auburn Tigers 21h ago
For sure. Turnovers were a killer and was the main difference in the game. I still don’t think Auburn necessarily blew it. It sucks we were up 8 at that half and lost but that evaporated in the first 3 minutes of the second half. It was pretty even the rest of the way until UF started pulling away. Plus, Clayton’s a beast. I thought surely some of those “bad” shots would start missing but there isn’t really a bad short for him.

u/darkoaks 21h ago

Lol, Auburn won the SEC and cut down the nets to go to the Final Four. The Alabama team was ranked #1 to start the year win nothing of consequence. And the only Final Four in Alabama’s history was just overshadowed by Auburn immediately going to another one themselves. Alabama is forgotten. An afterthought. And I’m sure that hurts.
0
u/codbgs97 Alabama Crimson Tide 8h ago
I mean that’s just straight wrong lmao absolutely nobody forgot about our final four, and yours isn’t overshadowing shit. If you wanna get under my skin, you’ll have to do way better kiddo.

But in all seriousness It’s hard not to be happy with winning the SEC and making the final 4
4
u/Ponsugator Florida Gators 21h ago
Wait, you didn’t even make the SEC championship this year, Florida won the SEC championship!
0
u/MattAU05 Auburn Tigers 17h ago
Florida is the SEC Tournament Champ. Auburn is the SEC champ. Just like last season when Auburn was NOT the SEC champ (that was Tennessee), but was the SEC Tournament champ. Good luck Monday against Houston.

With streaming services, I haven’t listened to the radio or watch network tv in ages. So I’m feeling strange boomer pangs of who is this jelly roll? Is that a country singer name? He plays a guest forest service fire fighter? Is that the 8th mission impossible?

GG Florida they straight up outplayed us in the second half. It sucks that we just ran out of gas there. Still think Duke can win it all.

Any All-American is a once in a generation player. He’s the undeniable portion of Florida’s success this season, particularly in the post-season - he’s what’s kept you in the tournament because most teams would have folded down by ten at the half not just once, but twice. Amazing baller.

Walter Clayton Jr. is actually him. Mamba-mentality, Jordan-esque cold-bloodedness. He has been the best player in this tournament. His coach trusts him in every crucial situation to make the right play. He sees greatness, I see greatness. Yes this is glazing, but I would absolutely take him top 5 in the draft.
4
u/at_least_u_tried NESCAC 21h ago
i feel like he’s too old to go top 5 but i would 100% take him way earlier than wherever he’s projected to go.

He always look that way, in the two years at UF I have never noticed him being uptight or nervous in the least. Last year I was irritated at times because it seemed almost complacent. As you watch him though that is just his demeanor, always calm and in control, no moment seems too big.
