From there on out, each comment's vote total will be visible, and entries can be sorted by karma (just like any other reddit thread).
The battle will end on Saturday, April 11th.

Thanks! I was pretty happy with how well the mountain from the stock photo ended up blending with the rocks of Middle Earth

Well played! This is the first one i've seen that actually elevated the stock image into something artful and atmospheric. And the hand? damn great placement.

This is kind of what I had in mind but then I remembered my PS-skills aren't good enough.. :(

Perhaps they are just not good enough YET! Practice makes... better. (perfection is rarely achieved)

Same here. A descent picture was about my 2nd or third thought, after Skyrim. I just knew I didn't have the skill to do it justice. Glad that Flopkins did it.

Heading up to the throat of the world... I won't win this week, because there are some honestly impressive pieces here, but I'll still contribute.

Crap. You pulled it off. I tried to fit clothing to the guy, and failed miserably. Yours looks perfect and natural. Good job.

Nice concept, especially with the new season right around the corner! If you feel like spending some more time on it, I would suggest making the wall more vertical, losing the shadows, and giving the dude a sword or something. Also, maybe make the wall lighting match the darkness of the background, or lighten up the background a bit :)

Thanks for the tips, man! Means a lot coming from the person who I think will win this week's battle.

Aw shucks, thanks bud. It's no problem. I know it's called photoshop "battles" but I really think the underlying purpose should be to learn things from one another (aside from the entertainment value, of course). There's always more to learn!
