The Rules

The Schedule

  • All entries will be hidden for the first 48 hours.

  • Voting will open on Tuesday, after which all entries will be visible.

    Contest mode will be enabled for another 24 hours. This will sort comments randomly, obscure vote counts, and automatically minimize child comments.

  • Contest mode will be disabled on Wednesday.

    From there on out, each comment's vote total will be visible, and entries can be sorted by karma (just like any other reddit thread).

  • The battle will end on Saturday, January 30th.

    Next week's battle will be posted early Sunday morning.

Very cool idea! Love the water ripple reflections on the walls, it really pulls together the whole aquarium vibe. Great job!

I just realized you are the same person who made the awesome entry last week. I’ll remember your name now. I love your work. The details (like the watch), are great. I didn’t notice you made Homer and Lenny from scratch - I assumed those were found images, until you made the comment about Bruce Willis. Very impressive. I hope you get the win I thought you deserved last week.

Hey, much appreciated. Originally I pasted in cartoon heads but they didn't blend very well with the rest of the photo, so I started to 'humanise' them. What I really enjoy about the weekly battles is the extra time to add little details, on the daily ones I'm usually rushing to get an idea out before someone else thinks of it.

For a while when I was zoomed in making Lenny, I got that weird 'looked at something bright for too long, now I can see it even when I close my eyes, I hope it's not imprinted onto my retina' feeling, from the plutonium / uranium rod. It's gone now though, glad you like the image.

I think it's because he's not looking at Mini Me. It could be better if he had shifting eyes, or the head was turned more... Still earned a laugh and vote from me though :)
