Prizes

The winner of this weeks battle will:

The Rules

  • Submit your entry as a comment to this thread.

You can post as many as you want.

  • To vote for an entry, just upvote the users comment.

You can vote for as many different entries as you want, but please do not downvote. Downvotes will not be counted when deciding winners.

  • Every entrant gets a contributor flair.

These will be handed out by a bot, but due to our comment hiding system, sometimes it misses people. If you entered but didn't get one, just send the mods a message, and we'll fix you up.

  • Please be sure to tag NSFW entries appropriately.

If you see anything inappropriate that's not tagged, either report the comment or send a message to the moderators.

The Schedule

  • All entries will be hidden for the first 48 hours.

  • Voting will open on Tuesday, after which all entries will be visible.

Contest mode will be enabled for another 24 hours. This will sort comments randomly, obscure vote counts, and automatically minimize child comments.

  • Contest mode will be disabled on Wednesday.

From there on out, each comment's vote total will be visible, and entries can be sorted by karma (just like any other reddit thread).

  • The battle will end on Saturday, February 20th.

Next week's battle will be posted early Sunday morning.

Best of luck, everyone, and have fun!!

I felt like your story needed a realistic ending graphleek

Nice work this week! I love the creation gif too.

Ha! You know what's weird? I didn't recognize that girl until you posted that. She was in a battle Dec 24, 2014, not long after I started shopping here. Here's my entry that makes no sense now since it was a mashup with another battle. Thanks for the compliment!

Modern art?

1

u/foyherald Feb 18 '16

Frustration really.

The original plan was she would either be sky diving or pole vaulting at the Olympics, changed to being an arachnid and then finally to this as I realised how inadequate my PSbattle skills are.

nice composition, but a bit too much debris....

1

u/Oxilixo Feb 21 '16

To be honest, my brushes are a total chaos... I was looking for a special one and tested them directly on the picture - and as my history only saves 50 steps + no snapshot... I couldn't go back far enough. Now I'm too lazy to start from the last snapshot. btw.: entry is late, idea is poor - so; maybe next time I'll stun you all ;)

2

u/graphleek Feb 21 '16

I like it. I guess I'm the only one who has upvoted it unless someone has downvoted it. The artistic stuff doesn't do too well in the battles though. It generally takes a combination of witty creativity and skill, without both of those, it's not likely to do well. Good luck next time!

u/Oxilixo Feb 21 '16

Thanks for your kind words. Required quite some time and efforts to 'shop it...my initial idea was to completely liquify her from top to bottom but I was too tired to finish this. So I tried to give the picture a kind of ectoplasmatic (does this word exist?) mood... I agree with you regarding the upvotes; its rather the satirical twist than the artistic 'quality' that makes the points here... Have a great Sunday - I like your frog-art ;)

Reptile

Reptile realized fighting was too much for him; he decided to follow his dreams and become a contortionist.
