Jesus fucking christ. I blissfully ignored that scene with the shoe and the acid for such a long time. You god damn monster!

It's called "The Dip"

And it wasn't acid. It was a mixture of turpentine, acetone, and benzine.

That scene was actually pretty scary and the rest of the movie didn't really prepare you for it. It really was just kinda "toony" violence up to that point. But then it became disturbing and menacing.

wait are you telling me something that scared you when you were 4 no longer scares you?

My boyfriend likes to terrify me by shrieking, "D'YOU REMEMBA ME, EDDIE?! WHEN I KILLED YOUR BROTHA! I LOOKED JUST! LIKE! THIIIIIIISSSSSS!!!

uncontrollable sobbing and fetal position, every time

u/[deleted] Aug 06 '14

It made me uncomfortably terrified as a kid. That's the worst kind of terrified.

Turpentine, acetone, benzene....

6

u/newtype2099 Aug 06 '14

I'm no chemist but im pretty sure that would kill more than just toons via fumes alone.

5

u/verdatum Aug 06 '14

Benzene is the only really nasty one. And before we knew it was so carcinogenic, it was used in all sorts of stuff.

This is definitely the best one!

Great work!!

Ugh, ugh, ugh, his stupid face still gives me the creeps. I used to have nightmares about the moment when Christopher Lloyd would look at the camera and have the awful, crazy toon eyes.

And the voice. Don't forget the voice.

Kim Jong-Toon

"Who flamed lodger llabit"

actually the stereotype is backwards as you should replace "l" sounds with "r" instead of the other way around, this is because in the Japanese Language there is no L sound so it is replaced with the relatively similar "r" when talking about foreign words in Japanese.

I'm sorry I have to correct people

I laughed, right up to the point where I realized I had new nightmare. It's kinda like the after credits scene in Guardians. Two images i didn't need.

This is really familiar...where is it from?

Am I the only one that thinks it's a little, uh, grim, to be photoshopping something like this? Isn't this like someone in the 40s photoshopping hitler into a looney tunes short? Or is it more like those darkly comedic propaganda shorts?
