Okay, how hard was it? My roommates bought me a dresser from IKEA and we finally have the time to put it together today and tbh I'm a little nervous because it's just stupid ass pictures for directions haha

My husband actually likes to put them together. I think it's like a puzzle to him. Everybody we know asks him to come help put together stuff.

You may be building it wrong then.. most things are pretty sturdy if you do it right. Not go on a lie, I've forgotten a few dowels in stuff and it makes it wiggle.

Most people get the feeling it's hard because they fucked up something and only realize halfway in, then they have to start again.

As long as you don't fuck up they're pretty easy to assemble.

protip if you're assembling a slatted bed base from ikea: the order you insert the slats in is important and you won't find out until the second-to-last slat.

Used to be much harder - like when I was a kid here in Sweden, before IKEA became this huge international thing - when they were much worse at making legible instructions as well as supplying the proper amounts of screws etc.
