The Schedule

All entries will be hidden for the first 48 hours.
Voting will open on Tuesday, after which all entries will be visible.

Contest mode will be enabled for another 24 hours. This will sort comments randomly, obscure vote counts, and automatically minimize child comments.
Contest mode will be disabled on Wednesday.

From there on out, each comment's vote total will be visible, and entries can be sorted by karma (just like any other Reddit thread).
The Battle will end on Saturday, October 5^th.

You need to delete this and get in contact with Jeep before they steal your design. Your talent is wasted here on reddit. I thought your edit was cool and then when I watched the gif I was blown away. I really like the way you went about creating it.

Yes...your last boot picture inspired me ...lots of cutouts and parts manipulation...there are lots good pictures in this battle....I enjoy the battles every week...you see some great imaginations at work....

This recycle is insane! Not sure how you managed to bend everything so cleanly. Definite winner!

Edit:
I take back everything I said, the windshield wipers are clearly FAR too small. They would barely even reach halfway across the windshield! This design was clearly not well thought out and has lost my vote.

you clearly don't know how it works! the arm of the wipers is housed into the hood and far longer than what it appears at rest. This animation clearly show this!

Mind if this beginner asks how you made the red paint on the body look so good? I would have loved to do that on Rocket Jeep but I couldn't think of a good way. Thanks!

Changing the colour was easy, though (as always) I may not have done it the most efficient way.

I just made a selection of the area I wanted to change with the lasso tool (you should totally learn to use the pen tool...but I never did so it's lasso for everything), then added an hue/saturation adjustment layer (little half black/half white circle below the layers panel). Then it was just a case of playing with the sliders until I got the result I was after.

Just wanted to say thank you for the info you posted about how you changed the color. I tried out what you said and it worked like a charm. I'm currently taking photoshop classes but it is painfully slow and I am trying to learn stuff faster. Thanks again [:

I'm not too sure what you mean by not being much support. I agree that a lot of the stuff here, especially this week, is honestly pretty amazing. I'm pretty new to this sub and photoshopping as a whole so I don't have much to say, not sure if theres some etiquette I'm not following here but I just felt like making something and remembered this sub existed.

thanks...the main source pic used was a low ride Hummer with willy jeep built around the hummer so it will look a bit odd..but what the heck, that's what composition are about being somewhat off the chain ..lots of layers used with this one...I should have spent some more time to perfect it. I left a couple parts off by the door...but they can return it for warranty work "LOL".my comp was inspired from the neigesdantan Boot battle comp. when I first started doing this SUB I did not have a clue...all the entries in here have been like an inspire academy for me..It has given me a breathe life into try something completely random....if it does not win that's okay too...I had fun doing it...and had lots fun looking at everyones work...enjoying it for me is a win..
