The Rules
Submit your entry as a comment to this thread.

To vote for an entry, just upvote the users comment.
You can vote for as many different entries as you want, but please do not downvote. Downvotes will not be counted when deciding winners.
Every entrant gets a contributor flair.
These will be handed out by a bot, but due to our comment hiding system, sometimes it misses people. If you entered but didn't get one, just send the mods a message, and we'll fix you up.

Please be sure to tag NSFW entries appropriately.

The Schedule
All entries will be hidden for the first 48 hours.
Voting will open on Tuesday, after which all entries will be visible.
Contest mode will be enabled for another 24 hours. This will sort comments randomly, obscure vote counts, and automatically minimize child comments.
Contest mode will be disabled on Wednesday.
From there on out, each comment's vote total will be visible, and entries can be sorted by karma (just like any other Reddit thread).
The Battle will end on Saturday, December 20th.
Next week's battle will be posted early Sunday morning.
Best of luck, everyone, and have fun!!

Thanks. Oddly, I thought my best this week was Coffee, Tea and Sugar. We all have different tastes.

Your coffee tea and sugar was also great, but I just love the way you played with the glass bulb idea from the source and gave it such a unique twist 👍

This is a clean manipulation all the way around!

Thanks buddy! It’s got a few issues here and there, namely the focal range on the buildings on the left side is about 4 meters too far back. It’s bothering me enough that I may actually open the PSD later and fix it ;)

That looks great. I would have liked to have seen a sperm whale and a bowl of petunias in the background, though.

I indulged my dark side with this. the result is not grim as the intent but petunias would be too much! :)

Challenged myself to stop watching videos of people photoshopping and give it a go myself, had fun with this quick attempt, and am looking forward to creating more in the future.

Entr(ies):
Short-sighted remedy
Still
I wanted to have the hands pull closer to the camera as a way of representing putting on the spectacles, rather than just simply zooming into the canvas (as it does in this version), but I accidentally saved over the original PSD having deleted the asset :(
