You can vote for as many different entries as you want, but please do not downvote. Downvotes will not be counted when deciding winners.

The Schedule
All entries will be hidden for the first 48 hours.
Voting will open on Tuesday, after which all entries will be visible.
Contest mode will be enabled for another 24 hours. This will sort comments randomly, obscure vote counts, and automatically minimize child comments.
Contest mode will be disabled on Wednesday.
From there on out, each comment's vote total will be visible, and entries can be sorted by karma (just like any other Reddit thread).
The Battle will end on Saturday, February 6th.
Next week's battle will be posted early Sunday morning.

Thanks Cman! The duration of the capture was 4 hrs 41 min, but there was a point where I paused it to take a break and forgot to unpause when I came back. Not sure how long it was before I realized, but you can see a point in the video where a ton of shading on the face just suddenly appears...it was probably less than an hour though :/

u/CptSasquatch watching your time lapse is awesome ! It really gives me another piece of the magic. your artistic mind is as good as the brush! nice work! Where do you fetch your stock photos that you use? Thats my biggest problem

Thanks texasfld57! I've been shopping around for good places to get stock photos as well. A lot of what I used in this project came from google images and envato. I've tried adobe and istock and others in the past too. I'm considering a subscription because I spend much more money on video games and streaming services each month, but more of my free time goes to this kind of stuff...

Thank you texas 🤗 Sometimes when I am on PC I use a Wacom Intuos (screenless) but lately I've been doing most of my painting, drawing, sketching on an iPad.

I have a set of sketching brushes I use with photoshop they're fun to use on my sketches that I do. Here is one of the projects I was fooling with My Sketch its a different style what your doing but the same concept.

Wow, that’s really cool. So you sketch irl on paper and then scan/photo and work on in Ps or is this drawn on a graphics tablet directly in Ps? Either way looks amazing. I love all the texture in the skin. ❤️

Yes..with PS and scan/photo. A class I took was about sketching and the brushes were provided but I am one that I want to make my own..so I did,about 7 of them I think. make all my darkness and brightness layers to sketch

I honestly think everybody here is a real artist... would be a shame if they banned everyone 😬
But thank you staff, I get the sentiment... Also, now I'm kind of invested in the piece now so I'm quite confident that Exbirbator will get a bit of rending as well. Especially since the schedule appears to be delayed I guess there is no distraction from a new weekly battle 🤷♀️
