He probably thinks the gang of terminally online blue check dick riders in his Twitter replies represent the general consensus on him when in reality we all fucking despise him.

I have insanely wealthy relatives. They hobnob with governors, get invited to inaugurations, etc. All of them are rabid magats.
I can tell you that they surround themselves with people who brown nose and kiss their ass until they believe anyone who doesnāt is āmeanā or ājealous.āĀ
I am talking people who pour on the flattery and are so obsequious that it is revolting to any normal person. The people fawning over them hate them are using them but they canāt see it because they believe they are adored.
They also believe that they merit their success and if people would just listen to their opinion, they could be successful, too. All of them are dishonest and cheat and openly brag about the horrid shit they pull. They donāt even realize that some people might find it offensive that they almost ran over their gardener or that they evicted half their tenants so they could raise rents.
This, in turn, allows them to dismiss any negativity that manages to bypass their filter of sycophants. They think anything the do is cute, smart or funny, like getting shitfaced drunk at a business function because no one dares to criticize them.
I can guarantee you that Elon is probably deeply shocked, confused and utterly at a loss at the extreme hate that is coming his way. No doubt his security team has advised him that he will never be safe to travel without bodyguards and this is troubling because he is likely discovering that his association with any business or project in the future will forever make it a target for extreme violence.
Elon (and many of the wealthy) think their entourage was more about keeping the little people away from them and elevating them as someone important. They are now coming to terms with the idea that many, many people have something far more insidious in mind and body guards are protecting their lives.

He doesn't know what's going on.
He has two sources of news. Twitter, and yes men/special interests.

"People hate me, and I don't even know why! All I did was spend billions of dollars to flood popular social media with fascist propaganda and spend millions more dollars to get a fascist leader elected so I could be the shadow presidet and ruin millions of people's lives to make myself even more disgustingly wealthy, and now Tim Walz is calling me dumb. Why would he do that? That's so mean! It's my birthday! I'm just a little birthday boy! You wouldn't be mean to the birthday boy!"

Wisconsin produces a lot of a dairy. A lot of Green Bay packers (nfl team) fans wear cheese heads to games. Elon is trying and failing to appear relatable.

Your submission was removed as it advocates violence against either a specific person or a group of people. This rule includes thinly-veiled threats, or slogans such as "Eat the Rich". This is against Reddit's terms of service.

Everybody here needs to read Careless People. It's about Mark Zuckerberg, but it perfectly captures the childlike lens through which tech bros born into privilege who suddenly become influential and powerful billionaires view the world.
