Medication Heavyweights drinking on Vyvanse?

I hear a lot of conflicting things about drinking on Vyvanse, but… I need to hear accounts from HEAVYWEIGHTS. I did not drink much prior to Vyvanse because it genuinely took me 5-6+ drinks to even get a little bit buzzed and at that point it was just too expensive. However, my friends club a lot and if you club you know one of the only ways to enjoy it is to be a little out of it lol. I’ve been avoiding clubbing with them because I was under the impression that drinking on Vyvanse gives you violent hallucinations (don’t ask me. I have no idea where I got this assumption.) but finally did some research and have been like… oh I want to go out with my friends! I’m on 40mg if that matters. I’m only 5’3” but comical heavyweight (I think it’s genetic?) have been like this for my whole life and I was lucky that Vyvanse even… worked. So, heavyweights, I know there’s some risk, but is it even WORTH it? Thanks!

Your body is unique, as are your needs. Just because someone experienced something from treatment or medication does not guarantee that you will as well. Please do not take this as an opportunity to review any substances. Peer support is welcome.

The only thing that will happen is increase side effects, but when drinking alcohol you tend to take a longer time to get drunk than without medication

Just be careful it raises your tolerance so you can drink more than you should. If you've ever seen someone who drank too much four loco 6 know what I mean

This would be a great opportunity to look at how your medication works. Lisdexamfetamine is converted in the small intestine into dexamf

There’s a reason people combine stimulants with alcohol. Not sure what you mean by heavyweight I guess your dose is high at 40mg? Again do some research Minimum effective dose and Maximum tolerable dose are different things.

Stims and alcohol don’t work, you just won’t get drunk and you’ll dehydrate way faster

Trust and believe when that vyvanse wears off, it will hit you like a truck. Also, although you may not “feel drunk,” if pulled over and a breathalyzer is done or a BAC, hello DWI. Dont ask how I know 😒

You're not going to be able to drink enough to feel it if it already took you 5-6. Take the day off meds if you really want to drink.

Drinking on ADHD meds is the worst! You don't feel anything, so you drink more. Then the meds wear off and you have a horrible hangover - without any of the fun.

Think about this. You are taking a stim... And then taking a depressant.

They can cancel each other out and then you could be tempted to take more of one or the other.

That said.

If you are a causal drinker it shouldn't be too much of a problem. It's more (from what I understand) worry with big binge drinking
