Me, that's me. I have the best job in the world. Too bad I'm worried of getting fired for not doing shit after doing 99 weeks of work in 3.

LITTERALY ME, the last job I had I would take A LOT of time to do my tasks even tough I was huffing and puffing to exaustion, also my attention would would easily slip away from the main task and make me waste time on some random thing I just happend to pick up on my way from the bathroom, a random tool I start playing with, a stain on my pants I want to clean, maybe I got cut on pressure washer and need to bandage it but then I waste a lot more time than needed because I want to be careful not to get infected, or while doing my main task I would just get stuck in a loop on one small detail and hyper focus on it till its 100% clean while the rest of the carpet is still dirty and so on... If all of this isnt ADHD then idk, I am just dumb or lazy?

I can't diagnose and we're not allowed to give medical advice. Best I can say is maybe look into getting evaluated. Several other things can look like ADHD from a certain angle and can have somewhat different treatment/therapeutic options.

Hey thanks for pointing out that other things can mimic ADHD, I tried last year to get diagnosed for it but psychiatrist just told me what amounts to "lock in" lmao, but these symptoms I have are straight up preventing me from being a functional member of society, as last boss I worked for kept me only because no one else wanted to work for him for longer than a week, while I was desperate for money and would accept anything, when I tried to get some other simple jobs I would struggle much more than other people
I still remember when I tried working at burger place giving a wrong amount of change to this old lady only to be corected by her 5yr old granddaughter of all people, while I could swear I calculated it corectly in my head... also I put the wrong ingredients into the burger or get distracted wiping floors while a customer just stares at me and waits...
whatever I have makes me feel like incompetent todler in adult world, and I WISH its something like ADHD that can be treted with pills

Yeah, that would be frustrating. I'd have felt like the doctor wasn't taking me seriously if that's all they gave me. I'll say that it's not *nothing* but can't be more specific. Anxiety, depression, vitamin deficiencies, etc. can have big affects on ability to focus and think clearly. ADHD can also do that, and the stress of unmanaged ADHD can encourage anxiety/etc. to develop. Long COVID can also affect working memory, focus, and energy levels. I'd consider seeing another doctor, maybe someone who specializes in neurodivergence?

Turns out you're a high performer with anxiety about not doing better despite the data that says other people suck

Lately, it has been harder on me this week! Sometimes, on a good day, it feels like everything goes great and I can see myself at this job for a while and others I want to walk out without a plan in the world at the slightest sign of inconvenience or stress.

Yea like people should just work with us and know that them.starting it will let me finish it way faster cause two thirds of the project is always faster than the first third

This meme REALLY hits home for me. My physical energy levels are very up and down as well. Makes it hard both mentally and physically to get anything accomplished. 😞

Oh, it's not urgent? I'll start on it when it's urgent.
