Host said they are working with Airbnb to cancel my reservation. Should I reach out to Airbnb? [USA]

My reservation is in 12 hours, and 12 hours ago the host said the place was experiencing pipeline leak, and they were not able to accommodate us, so they were reaching out to the Airbnb to cancel my reservation for this Saturday. (Which is in 12 hours) I already found another place, but this host has not cancelled my reservation yet. Should I contact Airbnb?

Contact AirBnB, but no matter what, do not cancel for the host!

For me as a host if I had a situation like that it would take me probably less than 10 minutes to cancel the reservation without penalty to myself or my guest. Now I'm a super host so I have a super host line that's a little faster service. I would give a little extra time but not that much. Even when I wasn't a super host this was still like a 15 to 20 minute process

If you've waited anything more than an hour it's definitely time to loop in Airbnb
