I stopped shopping there. I loved going in for the odd clothing piece and bit of groceries but I was so appalled by their abrupt turn I said never again. Doing my best to get rid of Amazon too.

I cut the Amazon cord in December, and it is so FREEING. I've paid off my Prime Visa, and now I never have to think about that company again. I find that I have less stress, I certainly buy less stuff, and I don't mind paying a little extra for things if I know I'm not supporting a horrible company. I know it's a privilege to be able to say that, but I encourage anyone who enjoys that privilege to exercise it.

Our family has saved so much money not shopping at Amazon and Target. It’s amazing how much crap we didn’t really need that we were buying before. Our savings is now the best it’s ever looked and we can finally plan a vacation. I’ve been shopping second hand at local thrift stores and it’s honestly a more enjoyable experience.

I dropped Amazon and picked up Ebay instead pretty easily.

I got burned on that once when my ebay order came from amazon, so I've been trying to thrift and shop local stores. I'm surprised at how little I miss Amazon.

It's really a non-issue. eBay is a great Amazon alternative. 99% of people have likely never had this happen... not that there's anything wrong with shopping local, but it's basically the same thing. You don't know where smaller shops get their stuff from either compared to online stores.

I've also dropped target, starbucks (and my stock shares with it), but amazon is taking a bit longer to cut the cord. I didn't realize how much I used it for. Thanks for the inspiration to get over myself!

I’ve been stepping back from Amazon for a few years now. Dropped prime sometime just after the lockdowns and would only order when I got my cart to free shipping. Which took a while because when I added stuff to my cart I realized didn’t need half the junk that was already in my cart. So many of my Amazon items over the last couple of years feel like dollar store purchases. Even when I’m looking for a name brand item it just often feels counterfeit when I get it. And to top it off the search is so bloated with random garbage I’ve been giving up trying to find what I need on Amazon, and looking for it directly from the manufacturer.

Same. I would go to Target first for certain grocery items then head over to Wegmans for meats and fresh stuff. Now I just grocery shop at the grocery stores. I’ve boycotted for so long now, Target isn’t even an option in my mind.

Same. I was like you know I've been paying more for stuff because you were supporting black owned businesses and pride right? So now I'm shopping costco and grocery stores. It's an adjustment but it's worth it both financially and to vote with my wallet
