Jinx would try to get a girlfriend just to prove Vi and Caitlyn were making it harder than it needed to be. Since Jinx herself was the biggest complication in that relationship, her own attempts leave several people injured and a building on fire. Still pulled though.
I too think it's best for emotionally vulnerable people to isolate themselves from existing support networks and distance themselves from people who demonstrate unconditional postiive regard for them.

on a shipping level, personally, I don’t see timebomb as working, it just seems like a tad forced, but even if they were to get together, I think they would have to have been on better terms again for longer, considering both of them are emotionally fragile and it can be hard to heal. I‘m very much a lightcannon fan, because I feel like ekko sees her not anymore as powder but has realized that she’s not jinx anymore, but what he thinks of her will still be a comparison to one of those, and I think lux would provide an interesting dynamic that would benefit the both of them, having the other see them in a new light(no pun intended)
honestly though the thing with arcane is that the creators have literally opened up the door to the whole “multiple universes” thing, and i essentially have taken that to be “all of my headcanons can be true even if they contradict”, so I do hc jinx as a dyke. and bi. and polysexual. and ace. and-
