I hate this show. I saw it on Netflix one day, sat down to watch it with my kids thinking “Sweet, a wholesome new cartoon to watch with the family.“ My little Timmy STILL has nightmares from the shimmer monsters, and my eight year old daughter seems to have developed a strange obsession with the red-haired young man with the tattoos. Just the other day, I saw her cut and paint the hair on one of her Barbie dolls red then proceeded to smash it together with a blue-haired one while repeating “Do you really think I needed all the guards at the hexgates?“ (What does that even mean????) Overall, shame on Netflix for advertising such a thing to innocent families. If you want to tell such a violent and bloody story, shoot it in live action like Tarantino instead of trying to trick OUR CHILDREN into watching.

I was a Trader Joes yesterday and the girl bagging my food told the older gal at the register that Arcane was like her generation's Ani DiFranco. What did that mean? Are they saying that Arcane is woke-coded? I guess I wasn't paying close enough attention when I watched because here I was thinking it was a good show for celebrating traditional masculine characters like Rictus and Sevika. You really have to be careful these days.

I feel like on season one they develop their relationship quite well, they were not just lusting for each other. But on season two they rushed things, and then end things, and then they had sex and it felt rushed and bad written.

Honestly, I don't feel like their relationship was rushed in season 2, at least not more than other stories. I actually like it that we don't get to see every step of their relationship, it's clear that they love and care for eachother.
If anything about CaitVi feels rushed, imo it's the oil and water scene on s1. Like what do you mean Cait 'what about us?', this is some girl you rescued from prison a day or two ago, both of you went into this assuming to take some advantage of the other, and now you're hitting her with that 'what about us?' like you're talking about a ten year marriage that is slowly drifting apart.

Cait? Dramatic? Yeah, I see it. She's crushing so hard on Vi, she probably had those ten years of marriage planned in her head already, that's why she's so heartbroken when Vi left.
But seriously, I don't have a problem with that scene, I just think it's funny. If you wanna call CaitVi rushed, that's imo a better scene to call out.

Hahaha I never thought of that. But still the water and oil scene felt more realistic than the sex scene, the sex scene felt like fan service. If you think about it why would vi have sex with Caitlin when jinx is about to kill herself, and when they're about to go to war. Idk

Isha was incredibly irritating, so it was a relief when she died. She wasn’t Jinx’s real sister anyway. All she did was distract Jinx from being the cool, unpredictable menace and tried to turn her back into soft little Powder. Seriously, Isha was just getting in the way of her real sister and in the end sacrificed her ass for nothing

Thinking it was all lust is weird but that aside they do have a point. Caitvi's relationship felt a little rushed even in s1, particularly episode 5. They go from hating each other to the brothel scene way too fast.

All the ships in Arcane would be better if they didn't develop them from friends and just had them sexing it since episode 4.
