Intermediate What could I have done better?
Needless to say 1st photo is my painting lmao
I wasn't necessarily trying to copy the reference or anything, just using it as a guideline.
Palatte knife painting done in acrylic, please let me know what you think about any aspect of the work as I am looking for open criticism on technique for palette knife painting. I definitely feel like the foreground is lacking personally. Like I said, let me know what you think!!

the sun being such a focal point should reflect on everything else. the trees should have lighting, and it should give a slight orange/yellow hue to most other things. also don't be afraid to use more paint, i can still see the base on the canvas on some areas
for whatever reason when i first looked at the reference it gave me big ai vibes but that's just what i saw. maybe im watching too many videos about it..

Thanks for the thoughtful feedback! as far as the reference : I'm not sure? It was just something I saw on Pinterest that really inspired me to do a painting with some texture, I hope it's not AI at least ! I know nothing about the ethics of using AI as a reference to create traditional artwork 🤔
