I'm assuming you're joking, but that would be a terrible idea for all kinds of reasons

Holy smokes, when he broke apart those boulders to get them out of the root cellar… I had to come comment. I’m just blown away. The amount of time and detail that he has put into the framing, cinematic composition and editing is only surpassed by the focus and determination he has for building this place. I have so many questions. Where is he getting his food? Why no gloves? Obviously there are electronics/computer; is there a van? How old is he? No motorized tools of any kind?? My mind is blown and I’m 30 minutes in.

My favorite part was when you scribed and fit the floor board with an axe. Beautiful work.

That was so relaxing to watch. This feels like how simple life should be.

Don't get me wrong, I could not live without modern luxuries but this video just feels like the right way we should be living.

With respect to this guy, he is essentially roleplaying. Very good quality and a perfectly cool and interesting life, but if he gets crushed by a fallen log he can call for the modern world to send rescue and use modern medicine and so on. Makes a pretty big difference, this is a HARD life when you have no backup and no option to return.

This is fascinating. I cannot imagine having the energy to work this hard. Amazing project

I'm jealous and it makes me feel inadequate as a man, goddamn. How do you even start to know these skills?

Start small, do mistakes, learn from them, repeat!
