Help with chinese non functioning Pixie CW Transciever

Just bought and built this pixie cw transceiver, I don't believe I made any mistakes while building it, but it may be the case. When plugged the LED won't turn on and the buzzer does not make any kind of sound, nothing gets hot, nor smoke is released. Can anyone detect any mistake made or suggest anything I can try to fix it? The package included a small pot that does not seem to have any place on the pcb nor is listed on the parts list.

By eye is a terrible way to attempt to troubleshoot. Tell us what measurements you have made and what each showed. Typically, follow the power and ground and make sure they are connected where they should be. So you have the correct voltage in the correct polarity at J1, etc...

There might be some cold solder joints. I don't like the look of the blobs on the pot you did install, and the flying leg of the 1K behind it seems to be a bit empty on the top-side view. A few seconds with an iron and some flux would fix those if they are an issue.

Thanks for your answer. Re soldered several suspicious points including the pot and the 1k. Somewhere in that road the problem got fixed.
