I think the power supply is dead

Is it worth it to try to fix it? It’s a 35 plus stereo. Honestly though it’s really well made. Any advice would be appreciated. I was hoping that it was 35 year old muck keeping it from working.

Check those fuses first you might get lucky.

It's really not crazy hard to fix. What kind of stereo is it, name brand model please?

Use a voltmeter carefully to find what’s getting power and what isn’t getting power. If you are not experienced in this work, don’t plug it in with the cover off until you learn about the dangers of poking at live electronics.
