Assistance in finding correct electronic parts

Hello, I’m extremely new to this. New as in I’ve never built anything. I’m interested in making a voice box for a Phantom of the Paradise cosplay, and I found a tutorial online.

https://www.instructables.com/Phantom-of-the-Paradise-Voicebox/

Would anyone mind helping me find the correct parts listed here? The ones without links, I mean. Also, does anyone have any advice on good tools to start out with?

Thank you so much!

An incomplete (and US-centric, don't know if that's good or bad for you) list of places to look that are unlikely to offer you counterfeit parts:

Mouser.com

Digikey.com

Newark.com

A temperature controlled soldering iron. Need not be expensive, but temperature-controlled makes a huge difference.

One good quality pair of wire cutters will last a lifetime if you use them on copper wires and component leads, or you can ruin a pair cutting steel in a day.

US-Centric is good! I’m struggling with the phone jacks, what do those look like?

They can look various ways, while still working the same electrically. Note that these are not the jacks you'd plug a landline telephone into, unless you were the operator back in the days before direct-dialing (and those were a larger size.) Here's some at Mouser for an example.

May not be the least expensive you can find, but it's a reputable brand from a legit distributor. Parts at 10% of the price from sketchy sources often cost you their price plus the price of a part that actually works right to replace them, and the hassle of swapping it, so not less expensive, really.

Looks different, costs a bit less:

Looks "Olde Fashioned" (open) costs more:
