If you watch carefully, you can see the exact moment his heart breaks.

And there’s a picture of a train.

I prefer a steam train myself.

You could have a steam train If you'd just lay down your tracks

Sincerely, Sledgehammer

Pfft Victoria is for amateurs. Hardcore Gs know the thrill of the Euston platform announcement.

8

u/-ScorchTheDragon- 1d ago

You freak, Euston is the most disgusting mainline train station in London

19

u/UncleSnowstorm 1d ago

Only the strongest can survive in the harshest of conditions.

You merely adopted the railway. I was born in it, moulded by it. I didn't see an empty seat until I was already a man.

As a woman, I don't have a train preference as long as it gets me there on time.

275

u/Doesitalwayshavetobe 1d ago

Pfff….romance is dead among passengers these days.

45

u/TN17 1d ago

So it's a bit shamey to judge women based on their trains. It's more about what's inside and if you could still see yourself going for a ride when she's older.

→ More replies (2)

3

u/dkarlovi 1d ago

Well, she's got a ticket to ride.

23

u/PapaOoMaoMao 1d ago

Meh, it's a journey. If you're timing it, it's not as good. Take your time and enjoy all the bumps and shakes.

u/squirrelpickle 1d ago

I'm personally a fan of steam powered locomotives. Old school I know but there's something so sexy about the classic design and function.

89

u/BeerElf 1d ago

And elegant, like the Mallard!

27

u/Kitty-Gecko 1d ago

The mallard is so pretty. I always like seeing it at the museum.

I'll have to go with the Japanese models. They are so sleek and the vast majority of the time punctual.

41

u/2Scarhand 1d ago

I've heard nothing but good things about Japanese trains. The worst I've ever heard was "this aspect was mediocre" which is leagues above anything in the US.

8

u/BiliousGreen 1d ago

Rail travel in Japan is awesome. I've ridden the Shinkansen from Tokyo to Hiroshima and back, and ridden suburban trains around Tokyo and Osaka. The trains are always on time and always clean. A+ Highly Recommended.

I personally believe that U.S. Americans are unable to do so because, um, some people out there in our nation don't have maps and, uh, I believe that our, uh, education like such as, uh, South Africa and, uh, the Iraq and everywhere like such as, and I believe that they should, uh, our education over here in the U.S. should help the U.S., uh, should help South Africa and should help Iraq and the Asian countries, so we will be able to build up our future.

I know I've got unrealistic standards, but it's megalev or nothing for me.

9

u/Vanbursta 1d ago

Oh the Mallard, or maybe even the Flying Scotsman

10

u/Princ3Ch4rming 1d ago

Always the class 43 HST or the Class 390 Pendelino. Beautiful trains.

9

u/Mister_Oddity 1d ago

I don't care which model it is, as long as it's made out of Lego. The old sets are nostalgic, the newer ones are pretty sleek, and the customs people have made will blow your mind with the detail level. Bonus points if it's motorized!

24

u/Brave_Mess_3155 1d ago

My niece used to love Thomas the tank engin.  And she's real cute.

14

u/Ok-Rate-3256 1d ago

Not even kidding if a girl had the right trains and the right kind of guy whos into them, it would really up her game.

5

u/[deleted] 1d ago

I knew a guy who was obsessed with antique trains, cars, and clocks. He was a bit autistic but knew more about old machinery than anyone I’ve ever met

5

u/Ok-Rate-3256 1d ago

Yea listening to people that know a lot about stuff like that is pretty impressive. Its like man how the hell do you remember all that.

As long as she’s into N gauge and isn’t a HO girl she’s ok in my book. Twice the size is not twice as fun

I am french, so I always will be very partial to any TGV-having girl.

. But if she had a Shinkansen I wouldn't say no either.

But, I feel it should be said, my life is pretty much well set on its tracks, so I'm not interested in STR (Short Train Relationship). I'm in for the long haul.
