The people sticking their palms to roads, achieves the exact opposite of preventing climate damage. Now cars are sat in the street, still with the engine on, burning fuel at a standstill instead of on the move, thus contributing more to pollution. Making cars spend more time on the road at a slower or non existent pace is actually just flat out worse for the environment. It makes no sense.

I really don't understand it. It's perfectly okay to think Elon Musk sucks and what he stands for. But then to damage someone's car just because it's from Tesla is complete nonsense; hell, Tesla wasn't even Elon Musk's idea. The only person who suffers damage is a person who no one can know how they feel about Elon Musk; who probably bought the car because they wanted to do something for the environment or just wanted a cool car.
I'm even thinking about buying a Tesla right now, even though I don't really like Elon Musk, but because the used prices for Teslas are falling so much right now and I can get a Model 3 in good condition for almost 10 to 15 percent less than a year ago.

Above the damages and compensation they will have to pay, IMO heavy fines of about 10k$ at minimum should be added by law to the charges, repeated offenses will result in heavier fines and jail time. People should understand that such vandalism will result in heavy financial repercussions.
