China has tariffs on every country since the start, to the point that companies have to move their shit to China and make a company that their government half owns to get around it(they don't allow foreign companies to operate within china without half state ownership).

as much as people will try to tell you otherwise, US is the biggest market in the world, every country it puts tariffs on gets hurt more than the US does.

But it will raise costs, until they move production to the US which will almost certainly happen given how much money can be made by doing so.
