Avengers Could an enraged Tony kill Hulk?

So kinda like how in Civil War where Tony gets so enraged that he tries to kill Bucky for murdering his parents. Well what if he tried to do something like that with Hulk? Could he successfully kill him or would Hulk demolish him?

An enraged Tony? Tony's emotions don't change his prowess, might even degrade his performance.

23

u/77gus77 2d ago

I love this trend of everyone asking if blood lusted this or enraged that. Not everyone is Hulk or Wolverine, y'all.

3

u/Coilspun 2d ago

Probably just AI fuckery.

u/ImBackAndImAngry 2d ago

I don’t know he kinda cleaned up at the end of Civil war while angry

If anything, calming down a touch and offering Steve a chance to surrender is what got him caught. Bro ran hands with two super soldiers at once and was winning.

-35

u/tortonix 2d ago

"Winning" one of them was running away for the most part and the other was trying to disable him while Tony didn't care anymore and just wanted bucky dead. Don't forget he also literally downloaded hacks to beat cap cause he started handing his ass to him once they got in a relatively enclosed location without Tony's gizmos

61

u/Ethiconjnj 2d ago

Y’all always say stuff like that’s not Tony’s power. Being able to download and counter caps fighting is part of his tool set.

I legit thought this was a troll post, seeing as everyone wants to pit an enraged Hulk against whomever. It's like the 'Batman with prep time' argument lol

3

u/Coilspun 1d ago

Spidernan not holding back.

3

u/GlockOhbama 2d ago

It doesn’t change his prowess it changes how he fights. He’d be fighting to kill, not knock out the Hulk. Now I flat out think he’d lose, but we’ve seen how being bloodlusted/going for the kill does in fact change the way they fight in the mcu. Great examples being Winter Soldier in Winter Soldier vs in FATWS, or Black Panther in Civil War vs in Black Panther. They both fight way harder in the former movies because they’re going for the kill.

u/jmoneey 1d ago

I think the question is clarifying not holding punches and willing to go for cheap shot to get advantage

1

u/jsamuraij 1d ago

This mustn't register on an emotional level.

In short, DISCOMBOBULATE.

1

u/Kelseycutieee 19h ago

Idk man, when he was bloodlusted with Bucky he was trying to kill him and he was doing pretty damn good. Just he was going against two experienced super soldiers

202

u/Glass_Worldliness_14 2d ago

Didn’t he literally knock him out in age of ultron?

164

u/Particular-Ad-3931 2d ago

Knocked him out while Hulk was in a state of confusion and not actively defending himself. In a ring like seen in Thor Ragnarok, Hulk would win every single time

18

u/-MrMooky- 2d ago

I never liked how that scene ended. Wouldn't Tony punching him there just piss him off and fire him back up?

15

u/cerebrum3000 1d ago edited 1d ago

I think in that moment the mind control is wearing off and Bruce was starting to come too and he was seeing the devastation he had caused. It was almost like a conflict of wills was occurring and Tony managed to seize the opportunity. Now when he saw the soldiers he slowly started to get back into a fighting mindset but by then it was already too late. He wasn't nearly as angry or enraged as he was during the fight.

Had the Mind Control not been wearing off or if Hulk was simply not caring about the civilians then what you said would have likely occurred.

1

u/SecretTechnology5270 2d ago

he got overpowered by Tony multiple times leading up to that moment

1

u/cerebrum3000 1d ago

He did get overpowered, but that only began to strengthen him and nothing Tony did was actually capable of defeating him.

Tony one because of two reasons. First, the mind control that Wanda inflicted had worn off. Second, whether it was Hulk or Bruce, one of them if not both of them saw the fear they were causing amongst everyone around them. This either cause the conflict of Wills or it caused the wave of guilt which overrode the anger aspect. Upon seeing the soldiers he slowly began to get back into a fighting state but by then it was already too late and Tony managed to knock him out.

It took the Hulk being distracted by the devastation he caused and Wanda's magic wearing off in order for Tony to land the blow that knocked him out.

After a building fell on him and in the Hulkbuster armor, sure.

8

u/tenehemia 2d ago

The building is an important point. Tony (and Bruce) built a ton of stuff into the Hulkbuster suit to stop him and pretty much all of it failed. He tried trapping him, hitting him, etc and Hulk was still Hulk. Obviously, being smart enough to use his environment is part of Tony's strength, so this isn't to say Tony didn't beat him, but rather that he had to try something beyond all the planning that just happened to work. It's also arguable that dropping a building on him only worked because it broke Wanda's enchantment, not because it actually managed to beat Hulk enough for him to change.

5

u/Gilgamesh661 2d ago

It seemed like the cage was working but they failed to take into account that hulk could break through the ground and get out that way.

4

u/pc1905 2d ago

I saw the cage as more of a way to buy time for Tony to fully get the Hulkbuster armor on.

2

u/Gilgamesh661 2d ago

Yes, but it seemed odd to be that hulk chose to collapse the cage and then flip it rather than just breaking it. It must’ve been strong enough that he didn’t think he couldn’t break it fat enough.

I also wonder if the cage was electrocuting him. I think I remember seeing arcs of electricity flowing through the panels.

2

u/kuatorises 1d ago

I don't love that fight. It should have been every Avenger on hand and STILL a struggle to contain Hulk, but Tony winning can at least be chalked up to Hulk having a building on his shoulders.

1

u/tenehemia 1d ago

So... Thor? Because Steve, Nat & Clint may as well sit that one out since none of them have the faintest chance of stopping Hulk in any way.

1

u/kuatorises 1d ago

MCU Cap has fought Tony, Thor, and Thanos, he's allowed to fight Hulk in a 3-on-1.

Hell, Clint and Natasha fight aliens much stronger than them. Just give them ranged weapons and hit him from. A distance.

2

u/Gilgamesh661 2d ago

With a sucker punch while hulk was staring at all the damage he’d just caused(although Tony was the one who collapsed the building)

2

u/Kirmit23 2d ago

Honestly one of the dumbest endings to a fight, after all the damage Hulk took, that’s what did it? Very lazy on Marvel’s part.

1

u/ledeledeledeledele 16h ago

Yeah and he shouldn’t have been able to. I hate how they nerfed the Hulk.

u/Skychu768 2d ago

MCU Hulk isn't immortal pretty sure.

Antman killed him in What If by using growth discs to cause Hulk's internal organs to expand until they exploded.

Tony can probably do the same?

7

u/UpgradedSiera6666 2d ago

Banner shot a bullet in his mouth and the ''other'' spit it out.

4

u/Skychu768 2d ago

He has some stuff than bullet. I never even mentioned bullet or that Hulk is easy to kill

1

u/UpgradedSiera6666 2d ago

Indeed but the longer the fight drags on the worse it becomes for Stark

1

u/BurnItDownSR 1d ago

So bullets don't work. Doesn't mean other things won't.

1

u/Existing_Charity_818 2d ago

He can’t do the exact same, since Pym went to a lot of trouble to keep Tony from getting that tech.

But if we’re talking Endgame Tony with nanotech, he could probably still get something inside hulk that would wreck him.

Barring that, in a head-to-head fight… hard to say. We almost never see Hulk take actual damage in a fight.

1

u/buunkeror 2d ago

I haven't watched Quantumania, but I just realized, does Hank have any resentment towards Scott for giving Tony (Howard Stark's son, after all) access to the remaining Pym particles and the technology to use and manipulate them without a second thought or extensive measures to limit the possibility of the tech escaping the ant-team's control once everything was over?

Even though it literally helped save restore the universe and Tony (and the others) used them in practically the most noble way possible, I could picture Hank not in love with the prospect of blipping back to a world where the proverbial genie of the tech he spent decades protecting from "the Starks", SHIELD, and other interests is out of the bottle, because gods above, the SECOND Scott goes unsupervised for ten minutes-

Just as an example, EDITH uttermost probably had access to Tony's math, blueprints and designs for the time heist... Which means Mysterio's people may have them too now, if he started a data dump the second he finished his speech after getting the glasses?

1

u/Starkfault 1d ago

He’d probably just be pissed that time travel was staring him in the face the whole time and he never saw it

Tony dying at the end means Pym’s particles are still secure

1

u/buunkeror 1d ago

I thought the same at first, but considering he was terrified of the quantum realm after losing his wife to it, I imagine he wouldn't be overgearer to meddle with it...

1

u/Ill-Star854 1d ago

He does take damage in two fights. One with the Hulk Buster armor. He got hit hard enough to lose a tooth. That's definitely damage. The second in Thor Ragnarock, when fighting against Fenrir, he got bitten through the leg, punctured all the way through, causing it to bleed.

10

u/M0ebius_1 2d ago

Wtf is enraged Tony going to do? His tech's output is not affected by emotion.

25

u/Any_Decision9716 2d ago

Maybe? He did draw blood off Thanos on Titan when Hulk barely tickled Thanos at the beginning of IW. I don't think it would come down to Tony's rage so much as it would his prep. The Hulk Buster suit was pretty effective in AoU and we can only assume that Tony bested Hulk at the end of that scene before it cut away.

3

u/hunterzolomon1993 1d ago

Tony only "beat" the Hulk in AoU because the Hulk started to calm down after Wanda's spell had warn off and he saw the damage he had done. If Hulk had stayed enraged Tony might not have survived as he was struggling hard against the Hulk who was tearing the Hulkbuster apart.

2

u/Any_Decision9716 1d ago

I dont disagree with where you're coming from, but I could just as easily argue that Tony "knocked some sense" into Hulk which caused that. It was a very cool fight scene either way. The other part I could argue is that Tony designed that specific suit to stop the Hulk, not to kill him. Interesting to think about either way.

2

u/hunterzolomon1993 1d ago

Yeah i could buy that. I think the fight ultimately purposely never gives you a clear winner just like Hulk vs Thor never has a clear winner, i'm guessing they want to please both fanbases by not giving a clear stance on whose stronger.

2

u/Due-Elderberry-6798 2d ago

4

u/Solid-Move-1411 2d ago

Of course but it's about a Tony who is trying his absolute limit.

Matchup isn't Iron Man vs Hulk directly

18

u/Abamboozler 2d ago

Yes but only if he had all the powers of Superman and Superman+ and the Hulk was suffering from Stage 11 face cancer and was actively bleeding to death.

Iron man would absolutely screw Hulk given the current circumstances of the cinematic universe.

3

u/No-Leadership-6346 1d ago

Could an enraged ant kill a rhino?

3

u/SillyCommunist 1d ago

What does being enraged do for a guy whose power is his tech?

3

u/SarkicPreacher777659 1d ago

He wears suits of armour. "Getting angry" isn't how he works.

2

u/Farrel83 1d ago

People forget Tony has $$$$$$. If hes really really mad, a suit of armor is gonna be the least of your concern.

2

u/No-Conflict6606 1d ago

Savage Hulk is too strong even the MCU version. He can even overpower that pulse ray thing from the movie and in War Machine's arsenal since Civil War.

2

u/CornerNearby6802 1d ago

He couldn’t even defeat cap and bucky and you think he could kill Hulk? 🤦

3

u/WittyPipe69 2d ago

You can't out-rage the Hulk. But if you calm him down, Bruce is easily manageable.

6

u/pluck-the-bunny 2d ago

Bruce put a gun in his mouth, pulled the trigger and Hulk spit the bullet out.

It’s not as easy as just killing Bruce Banner

1

u/UpgradedSiera6666 2d ago

Very well said

1

u/ownersequity 2d ago

I never fully understood that. So as Bruce he shot himself in the mouth. We see him change into Hulk rather slowly normally so it doesn’t seem like he changes faster than a bullet.

Does this mean Hulk power is always there regardless of form change, or that Banner has Hulk power at all times? (Not a comic reader). Like when he jumped out of Valkyrie’s ship in Ragnarok and hit the bridge with a thud and was fine?

1

u/pluck-the-bunny 2d ago

At the end of that movie, his transformation is near instantaneous. I don’t think it’s a constant.

He did better against thanos than hulk did lmao. Hulk couldnt even make thanos bleed

1

u/Environmental-Part11 2d ago

Nah! Hulk could rip him in half

1

u/AdaptedInfiltrator 2d ago

Yes, especially these versions

1

u/SkynBonce 2d ago

I don't think Tony's suit is powered by rage, so no?

1

u/cancervivordude 2d ago

Which mcu hulk

1

u/HendrixInTheMaking 2d ago

In the MCU yeah. Every single other depiction.. hulk smash..

1

u/OldPlan877 2d ago

It depends. In-universe where the plot requires him to negate every physical and tactical advantage to go melee whoever he’s fighting against? Hulk.

IRL? Iron Man clears, overwhelmingly with prep time easily.

1

u/Remote_Ad_1737 2d ago

Lol no. Even Hulk with a migraine held his own against Tony, an unaffected Hulk would crush a rageblinded Tony like a soda can.

1

u/Quomii 2d ago edited 2d ago

Either MCU Hulk is a total chump (it seems that way) or he's just never gotten mad enough in the history of the MCU to really be a omega level threat to the entire Earth.

Comic book Hulk has gotten mad enough several times.

If Hulk were at his most angry there's no way Stark could beat him regardless of what suit he wears.

1

u/Hades_Gamma 2d ago

Tony can beat the shit out of Hulk, especially Mark 85. Look at their showings vs Thanos even if you make some weird argument against their AoU fight.

But Tony can't actually kill the Hulk. To knockout, to temporary incapacitation, first blood, battle field removal, sure. But Tony can't kill Hulk

1

u/DrTsunami69 2d ago

1

u/orbitaldragon 2d ago

No... He couldn't even beat cap and bucky.

1

u/aFireFartingDragon 2d ago

I thought Hulk is basically unkillable, regardless?

1

u/77gus77 2d ago

Enraged??? Blood lusted??? Red misted????? Irritated...

1

u/Aggravating-Curve755 2d ago

Banner shooting himself in the head couldn't kill hulk.

1

u/The_Brofucius 2d ago

Banner put it this way..."I put a bullet in my mouth, and the other guy spit it out.."

If Banner cannot kill himself, what could Tony possibly do?

1

u/Nimelennar 2d ago

I think Tony could beat the Hulk if he had time to prepare something (e.g. Veronica). But even the Hulkbuster was designed to incapacitate him, not kill him, so I doubt he'd have anything ready if he were to suddenly fly into a rage.

And by the time he could invent something, the rage would probably have worn off.

1

u/L0B0-Lurker 2d ago

I didn't think that the Hulk could be killed. It's what makes him so monstrous... Banner can never escape, though he's even more monstrous than Hulk is.

1

u/ownersequity 2d ago

‘More monstrous than Hulk is’. Explain.

1

u/L0B0-Lurker 17h ago

Banner and Hulk are a retelling of Jekyll and Hyde.

Banner is a little man with extreme anger management issues. He's already proven that he'll do horrible things to get what he wants. Hulk isn't the monster inside of him, he's an expression of Banner's own monstrous tendencies.

  • human experimentation on himself and others

  • enslaving the hulk and keeping his mind in a simulation

  • Disassociative identity disorder

  • Hulk is a physical manifestation of Banner's emotional problems; basically the child core at the heart of Banner's personality given unlimited fuel and power for it's tantrums and a will to dominate everything around it.

1

u/ownersequity 16h ago

I had no idea it worked like this. Thank you. I just know MCU Hulk.

1

u/SingerHuge4277 2d ago

No, in any Marvel Canon besides maybe the mcu Tony loses this fight every single time.

1

u/MisterShookman 2d ago

An enraged Tony couldn't even kill 2 B-tier senior citizens

1

u/Rickrickrickrickrick 2d ago

Maybe in the MCU, but comic hulk is immortal.

1

u/Knobelikan 2d ago

Little sidetrack, but Tony isn't empowered by rage. If anything, Civil War has shown it clouds his judgment, even with handling his own tech.

One of MCU Tony's main drivers is fear. He found his calling as Iron Man because it scared him to see what effect his weapons had on civilians. His fear of a threat too big for him to handle, that might even endanger Pepper, was a main plot point of Iron Man 3 and why he built like 40 more suits. And similarly again in Avengers 2, it's the entire reason he creates Ultron. Or signs the sokovia accords. He vigorously tries to keep Peter away from all heroics, but then leaves him EDITH and a few thousand combat drones, just in case.

My point is, if you want MCU Tony to fight Hulk with all he's got, don't make him angry at Hulk, make him afraid of Hulk. Then he'll probably find a way.

1

u/AGx-07 2d ago

I think that Superior Iron Man could kill Hulk if he wanted to. We all know who's stronger but we also all know who is smarter and I think he could find a way to do it, or at the very least Parralax him.

1

u/Sea_Strain_6881 2d ago

An enraged Tony would only make him fight worse.

1

u/Ok_Advisor9109 2d ago

Nano suit is a big buff even compared to the hulk buster. Being able to throw hands with Thanos n even take hits n draw blood. N hulk is obv used for scaling in the MCU so hes nerfed. But idk if Tony has the power to kill him. Knock him out again maybe but he was off guard, he’s taken bigger hits since that so imma say no?

1

u/Damodinniy 2d ago

Absolutely. He could just use the Illuminati’s idea.

Do you think Iron Man couldn’t build enough mini drones to drag the hulk into space by pulling on his toes and back?

1

u/BeneficialSun0 2d ago

Tony put up a solid fight against Thanos with 3 stones. Hulk got spanked by Thanos, who only had 1 infinity stone at the time and he didn't use it.

1

u/Living-Ad102 2d ago

Enraged Tony vs already Enraged Hulk? I’m guessing this is MCU hulk from 2007 vs infinity war Tony based on the pictures, hulk slams.

1

u/Traditional_Phase813 2d ago

MCU hulk? Easily. MCU hulk is extremely weak. MCU iron man (infinity war version) could draw blood from Thanos in a fight.

1

u/Bad-W1tch 2d ago

I mean, a slightly anxious, quipping Tony knocked Hulk out cold, so... yeah I think so.

1

u/tmjax 2d ago

If by enraged you meant Tony with murderous rage, there’s a chance. But in order to do it he’d have to deploy the Iron fleet, be in Mark XLIV and possibly use a redesigned Mark XLII which has its components fitted to wrap around Hulk and blow off limbs one by one, up to and including Hulk’s head.

1

u/EDPZ 2d ago

Only if he gets betrayed and locked in the hyperbolic time chamber for a thousand years

1

u/Slidingoranges 2d ago

MCU is a complete shell of what comics Hulk is, Iron Man could kill MCU Hulk easily

1

u/Zestyclose-Sundae593 2d ago

No, but an enraged Hulk will kill Tony.

1

u/Phinatic92 2d ago

Ai says the strongest hulk beats the strongest Ironman

1

u/MrCoolGuy12356 2d ago

In the mcu? Absolutely. He was handling hulk pretty easily in their fight in AOU and he was specifically trying to knock him out, not kill him meaning he was holding back. He also did better against thanos than the hulk did. Tony’s tech improved by MILES after these fights and hulk has stayed the same if not gotten weaker. If this is the comics? Not a chance

1

u/TheVelcroStrap 2d ago

Engaged? I thought he already married Pepper.

1

u/Difficult-Coast-2000 2d ago

An enraged ironman looking to kill.... Would take the preptime and bring in every trick he can bring from his bag.... An army of iron legion with advanced hulk-buster and a lot more we dont know..... Both times he fought thanos he dint have any preptime with his lab and things he just had to fight then and there..... But if there's an organised battle where his mind is controlled and asked to kill hulk.... He just might use every gadget he can come up with and KILL HULK.

1

u/KrushaOfWorlds 2d ago

Endgame Tony could, civil war tony probably couldn't.

1

u/Perfect_War_7155 2d ago

I suppose it’s a matter of how much time Tony could prepare. With time and countermeasures he’d have a chance. A sudden fight he’d be demolished

1

u/bahnmipanda 2d ago

Some of the questions on this sub are good questions because they are pretty logical and make a lot of sense. This is not one of them.

1

u/Queasy-Primary-3438 2d ago

No not on his own

1

u/Secksualinnuendo 2d ago

I feel like the nano armors have brought Stark up to a level where he's better than Hulk. Stark was able to keep his own against Thanos when Thanos had most of the infinity stones. Hulk got whooped vs Thanos and he didn't even use the stones.

1

u/TeekTheReddit 2d ago

Hulk couldn't even kill an enraged Hulk.

1

u/GozzTheGreen 2d ago

Hulk survived a snap with all the infinity stones and that is cosmic level damage so I don’t think Tony could kill him with anything we have seen so far. Tony can definitely subdue the Hulk if he is not fully enraged at Tony but I think it requires something to distract Hulk or Hulk holding back.

1

u/invisibletruth4 2d ago

Hulk can't even kill Hulk.

1

u/madson_sweet 2d ago

An enraged MCU Tony would just drop an laser from a satelite into an MCU Hulk in a JLU way and would finish it

1

u/Hydrazolic 2d ago

How about a Lusted Tony?

1

u/Terriblerobotcactus 2d ago

Enraged Ironman is probably a downgrade. It depends on the timeline but peak MCU Tony Stark could 100% kill the hulk. I don’t know the names of his suits off the top of my head but the nano suit he had against thanos would probably be enough.

1

u/RecklessDimwit 2d ago

Which movie? If Endgame, then he has a good shot. "Tony learns from his mistakes" is the rule of thumb for stuff like this

1

u/GlockOhbama 2d ago

I mean. No 😂😂😂😂

1

1

u/JmisterYT 2d ago

How badly are we nerfing hulk is the true answer to this question

1

u/AsherthonX 2d ago

Hulk is strongest there is!

Prep time Tony could do it. But that’s usually calm and calculated. Not enraged

1

u/International_Meat88 2d ago

Considering he fights with tools, technology, and preparation, wouldn’t impulse and rage potentially make him worse? Unless he had like some kind of (mutually) assured destruction superweapon one impulse trigger pull away on command.

1

u/RevanOrderz 2d ago

If this is professor banner hulk then yes cause anyone can kill professor banner hulk at this point 🤣

1

u/Alternative_Device71 2d ago

This version? Hell no unless he has that wave dampener thing that was used in 2008, but in 10x capacity

1

u/Ancient_Caregiver917 2d ago

Depends when. Infinity war tony fucking kills hulk. Iron man (2008) tony dies basically straight away.

1

u/Rewindlfc 2d ago

Considering Cap beat him off, no. 🤨

1

u/fhggvbbgc 2d ago

Bucky wiped the floor with enraged tony the hulk would destroy him 😂

1

u/araja123khan 2d ago

Isn't Hulk supposed to be indestructible? Tony can subdue him I think but he can't kill him.

1

u/Sad_Mind_2398 2d ago

It actually depends on which version of hulk he is fighting

1

u/Fantastic-Repeat-324 2d ago

Possible

Now, Age of Ultron isn’t smoking gun. While it’s true that he could fight Hulk for an extensive period of time, Hulk was clearly ready for round two before calming down and reverting back. Who’s to say what would have happened? With that said, the fact that he lasted that long is proof that he can fight against Hulk.

He later upgraded his Hulkbuster suit which was given to Banner. He has arguably a much powerful suit in Bleeding Edge and has Iron Legion. Long story short: he CAN beat Hulk if he gives it his all

1

u/Character_Mind_671 2d ago

Yes. Hulks are vulnerable to strangulation. Hulk strangled Abomination until he was unconscious. This is probably due to lack of blood flow to the brain (anger is in the brain). If Tony did this, or cut Hulk's head off, he'd no longer be "angry" and shut down.

1

u/dyno-soar 2d ago

Do y’all on the comments really not understand what OP is asking? Everyone saying “tony doesn’t get enraged” blah blah, just do the fucking math, you all know OP just means could tony kill Bruce if he wanted to. If he went all out, held nothing back, sole purpose is ending hulks life, could iron man 1v1 hulk?

1

Enraged tony isn’t really any stronger than normal normal tony.

And under the right circumstances yes but so much could go wrong that would just result in a stark defeat.

Iron Man poised and ready. A formidable presence radiating power.

I dont think anyone could 'kill hulk'. But with a tony who is going for the kill, might be able to knock him out(depending on where he is in the story and what his current tech level is)

Tony tried to drop a nuke on Banner once. He turned into the hulk while unconscious and wasn't hurt at all. So Tony shot him into space...

u/YaBoyEden 1d ago

Bruce Bannwr couldn’t even kill hulk dude, hulk can’t die. Tony had to use a sun laser and evaporate him just to capture him, and then to keep him contained they had to keep hulk cut up in different jars, and THAT didn’t even work.

He figures out time travel. Pretty sure Tony can do pretty much anything the MCU wanted. Fitting since he really did kick off the MCU. Long live the king. And of course he's coming back to salvage it as Doom.

u/YMMVwithme 1d ago

Maybe not but a sexually frustrated tony has potential

1

u/Awkward_Caregiver569 1d ago

He will only make hulk more angry. Does not have a chance at doing anything to hulk

1

u/Lancearon 1d ago

I think what you truly mean to say is if Tony truly wanted to kill the Hulk, could he... I think he could. Tony is similar to batman. With enough preparation time, he could beat anyone. He has the hulk buster which aparently worked in the cinematic mouth. But in the comics It would have to be some non-suit related thing.

1

u/ohheyitslaila 1d ago

Enraged Tony couldn’t even beat Steve and Bucky, while Thor couldn’t even take down Hulk. Tony attempting to beat the hulk is hilariously stupid.

u/a_talking_lettuce 1d ago

"GETTING ANGRY DOESNT MAKE YOU STRONGER! THATS NOT HOW IT WORKS" In all seriousness tho, kill? No. Incapacitate? Maybe

1

u/dubbs_mcgee 1d ago

Lmao no. What kind of question is this lmao.

1

u/yobaby123 1d ago

Nope. He barely held his own against Cap and Bucky. Granted he was holding back because he wanted to make them suffer, but still….

1

u/Salt-Cake-9237 1d ago

No. He got his ass whooped by two supersoldiers. He got his ass whooped by thanos. He got his ass whooped many times by the fire breathing extremis guy. The hulk would rip his head off if it was a real gight

1

u/RevealActive4557 1d ago

Can you kill the Hulk?

1

u/VyCanisMajorisss 1d ago

Kill the Hulk you say? 😂

1

u/Front-Advantage-7035 1d ago

I don’t know OP but I bet Spiderman could beat them both off.

1

u/SynthRogue 1d ago

Remember what Hulk did to that puny god

1

u/DakPanther 1d ago

Hell no

1

u/Sentinal7 1d ago

No. Next question

1

u/Efficient_Surround77 1d ago

He could probably hurt Hulk. Doubt he could kill him. If Hulk gets just as enraged as Tony he just gets stronger and Tony does not.

1

u/bloolynxx 1d ago

You mean like he gets a boner while he’s fighting?

1

u/Fro_of_Norfolk 1d ago

Ro...ruck ro.

Next question.

1

u/Internal_Gur_4268 1d ago

That would require Tony to be a better scientist than Bruce and make a suit that can depower Hulk or decrease his gamma levels. Tony isn't that guy so no, there isn't a Tony Stark that's killing or hurting Hulk.

Watch Age of Ultron

4

u/pandershrek 2d ago

I feel like you need to rewatch the age of Ultron. It really did not happen like you remember it. Bruce Banner never dies in the entirety of the MCU.

3

u/Aggressive-Media-245 2d ago

Hulk died in Age of Ultron? I'm I blind?

3

u/pluck-the-bunny 2d ago

That’s the movie where he doesn’t kill the Hulk right?

1

u/Livid-Truck8558 2d ago

Hulk can't fly and shoot missiles my guy.

1

u/Skyflareknight 2d ago

Hulk doesn't need to fly. Have you seen him jump? He can l e a p

1

u/Livid-Truck8558 2d ago

I ofc thought but that, but Iron Man can go miles into the sky.

2

u/KenDanger2 2d ago

And do what? Tickle the hulk with some missiles?

1

u/Livid-Truck8558 2d ago

I mean, as other commenters have pointed out, Iron man defeated him with the hulkbuster. Without flight, say in the cage on that planet I keep forgetting the name of, Iron man would stand absolutely no chance.

1

u/OldGrizzlyBear 2d ago

Hulk can technically fly using a combo of leaping and thunder claps that he can use to move quickly even in space

1

u/Livid-Truck8558 2d ago

That's neat, but we have never seen a hint of that in the MCU. Iron man can probably eat Infinity Stones in one of the comics.

u/LollipopChainsawZz 2d ago

Only if he's not holding back.
