I donāt even like women, I relied on Laeāzel because she had a lead on a cure. Iād put her in her place whenever she got too aggressive. Turns out sheās into that. Turns out so am I.

And it does a decent job at portraying a variety of attitudes about sex and romance. The 5-way with Gale and Halsin had me roaring, but also made me think honestly but what I desire irl.

Basically Galeās curious and a little into it, but ultimately he chickens out, sending in a projection of himself to take notes as Halsin pins you to a wall. You can watch the cutscene on YouTube (itās just dialog over a black screen) and itās pretty damn funny.
As for real life, it made me realize while I may be more of a Halsin myself, I love the type of guy Gale is, and Iād prefer making them comfortable.

I really want a relationship like the one Gale had with my character. Except I'm Gale in this scenario. Problem is I'm nowhere near as confident as Gale (being fictional is such a cheat code)

Actually, I feel guilty.
On first playthrough I gave Karlach the saddest possible ending because I was supportive of her never going back to Avernus. Now I'm playing Wyll, romancing her and planning to end up as a cute power couple from Hell.

My eyes have gone to shit I could have sworn Gale and Karlach were actually Qui-Gon Jinn and Darth Maul, and then I was confused why Astarion was on a star wars meme

I just wish this wasnāt the gameās sole reputation cause I loved introducing coop to friends, but anyone new who āknows the gameā already has a preconceived notion itās just a giant fantasy sex simulator- that I always successfully dispel of course. But still.

This is actually something I really donāt like about the way the game is written, particularly at the Tiefling celebration.
Like Iād been flirty with Karlach and nice/supportive to Shadowheart so those two made sense when it came to being all over my character at the party, but everyone else? Iād barely interacted with Laeāzel since the Nautiloid so āsurprise Klingon propositioningā was a shock, I had been hostile and dismissive towards Astarion because I find him totally insufferable and Galeās romantic proposition was so unclear that I accidentally accepted it. I had to go back and re-load after another character mentioned I had chosen to āspend the nightā with him; Gale my dude, I like you but you gotta make things clearer than āIād like to show you a magic thing Iāve been working onā.
For all that people talk about Wyll being underwritten, he had by far the best moment there; thoughtful, poignant, with an obvious opening to begin his romance line but without him forcing an awkwardly blunt rejection.
I donāt mind NPCS feeling like they have agency beyond you just doing the BioWare āhit dialogue option, receive romanceā thing, but I really feel like you should have to hit certain positive dialogue interactions before that scene to trigger these people coming on to you.

Legit didn't enjoy any of the romances as they seemed corny or creepy (looking at you Gale. I just wanted to learn magic ya Groomer). Tho I understand now that when I first played there was a Glitch that made every companion super thirsty for my character the minute they were recruited. So I probably need to go back and see if it was due to the glitch.
