There are in-game tooltips, tutorials, and tons of online content talking about and referencing important game mechanics.

I agree the mechanics are not necessarily shallow or intuitive, but if someone is going to complain about a mechanic they should first try to understand it.

it's an rpg, literally every actual RPG expects you to read to find out what your abilities do. nobody expects you to already know these things, that's why the game gives you the information. needing to know how things work is not a problem with the game, that's literally the main draw of the type of game this is.
