Help Having trouble figuring out how to install a mod manually

Question, why are you installing it manually when you can just use the in game installer?

It’s a mod with no pak file and typically meant for vortex users, while I use mod manager. So I have to install it manually unfortunately

Lmao. It's fairly new and works great. I installed the wizardly updo with it. Also very simple to use: find a mod, click install, enjoy. Dont like it? Click uninstall.

What path are you trying to get to, out of curiosity. Obviously the mods folder, but what is the exact path you're typing into file explorer?

The very one the Modder put in their description. C:\Users\”Your PC” \AppData\Local\Larian Studios\Baldur’s Gate 3\Mods (except of course instead of “users” I put my name and instead of “your pc” I put nitro AN17-41

Have you tried just navigating the folders the long way? Just double clicking each folder manually until you get to Mods? Might be a typo in there somewhere.

That’s the thing, I can’t even FIND the Baldur’s gate 3 folder, and the steam folder just opens up the app. And I KNOW I should have it bc I went thru it the first time I installed the game

Okay, I actually just read this again and I think I see the issue. You want type in:

C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\Mods

Don't change "Users", you need that. Only change "YourUserName" to your actual username.
