Help Which area is the Iron Throne? Spoiler
People keep talking about the Iron Throne and I’m very confused on what it is. I always thought that was where I killed Gortash during his coronation? I’ve already beaten the game, but I feel like I might’ve messed up killing Gortash the first chance I met him in person with my team . Like I never got to bomb the big factory since it was already destroyed and I think I missed out on a submarine level too??? I kept reading it is infamous for being a hard fight and I mean Gortash was kinda hard to fight with the traps and steel watch, but I had Karlach rush him with the gnome-IED so we were ok.

The Iron Throne is where you turn that super hard fight you had with Gortash into a cakewalk because you killed all the Steel Watch first.

the iron throne is the submarine level you mentioned. as you’ve discovered, it’s totally possible to kill gortash at the coronation, but the more common path is to agree or pretend temporarily to agree to an alliance with gortash and then kill him later on when you’ve destroyed the steel watch and rescued the prisoners in the iron throne. your way isn’t game breaking, of course, but it does mean everyone in the iron throne prison dies

Karlach kamikaze rune powder boom is definitely a unique way of killing Gortash. Nice one.

Tbh if you get the bomb from Wulbren before attending Gortash's coronation that's actually very in-character even though from a meta perspective it's bad (you lose Duke Ravengard, the Gondians and Omeluum).

If you don't kill Gortash, you will eventually find a submarine that takes you to the Iron Throne underneath one of the buildings on the docks. It's part of the quest line to destroy the Steel Watch. Wyll's dad is there too.
You basically missed out on a whole section of the game around the Docks involving the Steel Watch and the Iron Throne. More to explore next time!
