Does Minthara still need to be knocked out while “temporarily hostile” to recruit her in patch 7?

Been a while since I played BG3. I heard that patch 7 made some changes to the recruitment method, allowing you to knock her out and recruit while being hostile in act 1. Is that true? Just want to be certain I continue my play through.

As long as you knock her out you are good. The temporarily hostile requirement was removed.

This would've been good to know in my recent honor runs, when I got the whole goblin camp aggro at me during a botched assassination attempt on priestess glut

if you knock her out in this current patch she will be at moonrise towers like she has been. She won't wake up at the goblin camp. i'm not sure how to recruit her while she's hostile, i don't think you can recruit anyone if their hostile.

she should be at moonrise and if you save her she will just question as to why u knocked her out instead of killing her but that's it. that's what i got from knocking her out ADD: i started this playthrough about a week ago and she is in my crew with everyone else.

Yes but I'd recommend knocking her out at the goblin camp and not at the grove as she gets bugged otherwise (nothing game breaking but every time you enter combat with her in your party, a tiefling called Cerys gets pulled in with you, even though she is nowhere near on the map. It is very annoying).

Can you cast sanctuary on her when she's knocked out and flee combat?

I'm not sure. I just toggled lethal off and she came back in Chapter 2.

She was the last of the three I needed to kill. Usually go glut, then the hobgoblin, and then minthara. When I knocked her out, I rescued halsin, and then long rested; she was gone. I assumed she fled. She then showed up at the tower. Done it this way twice since patch 7, she’s always there.

Knocked out yes, while hostile, no.

On my first playthrough I knocked her out while temporarily hostile, when I got to the towers there were just some goblins being chewed out, no disturbingly ugly drow.

No, that was fixed in Patch 6. It's amazing how many guide writes just never bother to update, despite the fact that the "temporarily hostile" thing was only a requirement for less than 3 months, while the "it doesn't matter how you KO her" version has been around for almost 14 months at this point.

Now you can knock her out while she's hostile (eg. at the goblin camp assault), and she still turns up.

You just need to knock her out, that’s the only prerequisite.
