Is drow poison busted/bugged?(possible spoilers) Spoiler

It seems when you throw drow poison as a grenade, it always put an enemy to sleep, if they aren't undead or fey or have a specific resistance. The wiki however says there is a DC13 Constitution saving throw, but a saving throw never seems to trigger.

I cheesed the whole inquisitor fight on honour mode with it. Just give him a lil nap, kill his goons and keep up the poison to make him sleep again and again.

I have not fully tested this, do note. However as far as I have tested this, thrown drow poison seems to put everyone and everything that has not a specific resistance to it too sleep.

Update: just tested it with throwing the poison on Lae'zel. Even upon a succesful save, she fell asleep and every succesful save to wake up still automatically failed. Reminder the DC is 13.

Second edit: just turns out I have been incredibly lucky with the rolls on drow poison.

My most recent play I finally figured out you can coat your arrows of many targets and would just sneak shot large groups of enemies with drow poison putting at least half of them to sleep.

Works for other poisons as well. There's a good late game poison that can paralyze targets, and if you dip your Arrows of Many Targets, you can Paralyze entire encounters.

The higher level damage ones are nice also.

Ooooh I’ll have to look out for that one! I feel like coatings are so often overlooked!

Do you have any mods? There's always the chance that something is going screwy.
