its a throwback to when high-end service industry employees would wear white uniforms to show off how clean they kept their workplace and that they could do their job without getting dirty. Like a butler with white gloves touching everything to see if it was dusty
Cultural in what sense? I have spend quite some time in Japan and no one did this lmao, the only place you see it is anime, which yes is Japanese culture but also kinda cringy looking in real life.
His movements are reminiscent of a tea ceremony: decisively moving to specific positions and pausing there half a moment, with proscibed posture including head position.
Because I in no way implied nor suggest anything qualitative - definitely not pejorative ... may I suggest a Compositional Writing 101 community college course?
"immediate equation" ... is a melodramatic exaggeration of what I originally suggested. [as an aside, your above response reads like someone suddenly becoming aware of their mistake but not wanting to admit it and instead doubling down on their initial statement]
Look how he has his head bowed presenting the drinks.
Look how his hands cup/hold the items.
Look how he moves with precise movements (albeit "dialed up" as you pointed out).
and some others. I'll let you explore them if you're interested.
Um no. But that’s what this is what’s being catered to. The presentation, the movements, its a show. It would be like watching a real life samurai. The intensity and precision. I used anime because their artwork is similar.
But even their “broadway” type shows can be over the top.
Its possible this is a "behind the scenes" type of thing of him doing either promo material or a specialty event. Which would explain the over the top dramatics and weird vibe of everything.

The drinks and presentations are cool but his motions and costume are just kind of cheesy.
