I’m a fit and healthy 33 year old woman who had a stroke last year. Caused by a chiropractor. Everyone needs to be careful and take care of their health. Now.

Uh.....im not 100% sure but how exactly does that happen? I thought strokes were caused by blood clots that went to the brain, unless you had one and he loosened it? Just curious here

A stroke is defined as- Damage to the brain from interruption of its blood supply. People have gotten strokes from turning their head too fast or being at the hair salon and having their neck bent back on the sink for a wash. Those are extreme rare events but you get the point. Getting your neck cracked wrong could definitely cause one.

So i could be whipping my head around to look at a spicy lady and baam theoretically I could get a stroke that way. Sheesh, another thing to worry about

The chiropractor adjusted my neck too hard which caused a tear (rip) in the artery in your neck that delivers blood to the brain. Just like a cut on the outside of your skin scabs up to close, the inside cut also started to “scab” or clot up to close the hole in the artery. That clot then blocked blood from going to my brain causing me to have a stroke (7 strokes in fact). ETA it’s called a Vertebral Artery Dissection and is a leading cause of strokes in young healthy people.

Damn i went to a chiropractor last year, my neck def doesnt feel right. I wonder...🤔
