And way less lonely. Many of them spend their lives alone, but not out of choice. There just aren't as many as their used to be, and there's evidence to suggest they used to live it very big groups.

God, my heart. No matter which way you cut it, there’s something terribly sad to be said about orangutans. I hope sometime in the future they can thrive in the wild and be happier than how most of them currently live. I hope we as humanity can find ways to thrive also without killing and hurting so many animals

Honestly the best place for them is probably sanctuaries Zoos are still for entertainment while sanctuaries are for the good of the animals
