Yeah, I don’t care if someone jokes about cancer and I got grade 4 GBM. I do get pissed off if someone makes fun of someone saying they’ll die of cancer if it’s towards someone who actually has it.
Look at how far your reach in response to one harmless comment. How can you even compare moral compass and character?
My daughter had ALL, was diagnosed 3 weeks before she turned 6. She kicked cancer’s ass and has been in remission her entire treatment and since end of treatment. She turns 12 in 1 month. We frequently joke about a lot of scenarios we all went through during her treatments, infusions and lumbar punctures. We often times make/made fun of or cried about cancer as a way to ease the immense pain and suffering she dealt with.
As the person stated above, it’s totally cool to make fun of cancer itself. Sometimes it’s how people deal with shit. It’s not ok to make fun of kids or people going through it.
Our moral compass, character, resiliency, mental fortitude, stress management skills, life perspectives, not sitting in judgement over people that deal with things in a way you don’t agree with are severely different.
You have embarrassed yourself in this thread. Your utter conviction that you're on the high horse borders on delusional. Dial it down, not everything has to be cranked to an 11.
Not at all. But if context proves true- ‘reading the room’ or even the the post title would reason my comment. Now the after affect was hours even a day before ur comment. So I hope you have a better day!
My main point stays the same. I will never state cancer(as a survivor) or kids with cancer are funny.
Just as some can voice their options to laugh- I too can voice my option not to.

Joking about cancer is 100% cool.
Making fun of people because they have cancer is not ok.
