You’re amazing! I feel for the owner for having a cat. Even depressed people are empathetic and compassionate toward other living beings. Even if they can’t take care of themselves.. they try to save and take care of others.

Adopting or buying a pet to neglect it and provide an unclean and unsafe environment is not commendable :/ no matter the reason/circumstance - you shouldn’t get dependents, including children, if you can’t provide the minimum proper care for them.
