I really love Brienne, she is probably one of the best characters in the series.
Before landing the role in "Game of Thrones," Gwendoline wasn't sure if she would be cast as Brienne of Tarth. In an interview, she mentioned that she was the only woman at the casting who could physically meet the requirements for the role - a tall, strong, and muscular warrior. Her height and physical form became important aspects that set her apart from other actresses.
Moreover, her character, Brienne, was one of the few women in the series who completely shattered stereotypes about female roles in fantasy, and Gwendoline made her an incredibly strong and multi-dimensional figure. For this role, she received recognition for how accurately and powerfully she portrayed a woman who doesn’t rely on her appearance but stands her ground in a world full of violence and betrayal.
yeah, but i think it sounds like something that i do as a non-native english speaker that is: i write a text and ask some IA to help me formulate it better to properly convey my points.
its something that i normally do when not confident that i getting my point across or want to make sure that i will not be misinterpreted
She was my favorite character in both the books and the show. When she had her fight with The Hound, I was on the edge of my seat, rooting for her. I thought she was perfectly cast.
And if they had wanted to they could have made her even more like the book Brienne who was described as being utter plain and even ugly in the books. They did a good job of portraying that, without subjecting the actor to hours of makeup prosthetics, with her face and hair make up.
