It's happening in your country as well - extremely rich people are hoarding wealth instead of using that wealth to improve the lives of others. It's a worldwide disease.
I have my own country to worry about there ignorance is not my problem and I am tired of seeing US politics every where even in places which are non political
I searched the comment section searching for this knee-jerk reaction reply.
The point of the story wasn't to point a finger at the rich or anyone better off. It was to inspire the everyday person to do what's in their power to make their own community a better place by showcasing what another everyday person was able to accomplish by their own merit, driven by self-sacrifice and kindness
You can't change the behavior of others, only your own.
It genuinely begs the question. Why are people in power so seriously dedicated to only bettering their position and not others, like this real human being did & asked for nothing in return? We have a complete societal failure of what it means to be rich or good.

The richest person in the world has devoted his life to making the American people miserable and poorer than ever. Unbelievable.
