Best e-bike shop?

Hi šŸ‘‹,

Anyone have recommendations on the best e-bike shop for purchase and service in Bend? I like the Aima bikes but am not sold on any particular brand.

Range, comfort, reliability, and weight- just the normal stuff. Would love to Ride The Rim at Crater Lake this year.

Thanks, Bendites. Youā€™re the best. šŸ«¶

BendR Cyclery, previously known as Ride2You. Their mechanics literally fought the manufacturer of my bike for weeks to fix a wild issue with a brand they didnā€™t carry or typically service. I liked them so much that I bought my wife a bike there shortly after. Great people and service.

Mind if i ask if she likes her e-bike and which one? We're going to look there too.

I got her a basic Aventon commuter to putt around town. Itā€™s great for us to cruise downtown or to the Old Mill. I have a more beastly class 3 bike with a 750 watt motor and bigger tires. Thereā€™s a wide selection of bikes there, theyā€™ll help you find what you need.

I did the Crater Lake event a few years back on an eBike to test the range, etc. Rode a Specialized Vado and liked it. I bought the same for me and my wife. As far as shops, Bend Electric Bikes downtown has an assortment. Hutchā€™s on 3rd has a few on their floor. Unless you are gonna push the bike to its limits, you donā€™t need to geek out on all the motor/watts stuff if you are just gonna use it mainly around town. most brand name e-bikes will be fine. find one you like and get riding.

Thanks so much! Not looking to push limits, just wanting to ride around the area in the sunshine.

My non-electric bike of many years is a Specialized. I love it.

For something like "a road or gravel bike, but also has a motor", one of the big brands like Specialized or Trek might make sense.

For eBike specific stuff, I'll second the Ride2You recommendation.

You're smart to find a good shop; buying some cheap internet thing that doesn't have a shop behind it is not a winning strategy, long term.

Also: get it quick before the tariffs wreck the entire bike industry.

Thanks so much. Ah yes, the tariffsā€¦Iā€™ll be making a decision quickly.
