Step 2. Demand Rescheduling In Boston and everywhere else, weed and the war on drugs has been used to justify police brutality.
It is appropriate to post about and discuss George Floyd's death and the protests here because it all ties together with cannabis laws and police violence and harassment. This is the community that some of us want to get perspective from. There's value in posting about it here.
All y'all complaining about "I thought this board was for talking about weed" can just scroll past and go comment on many other weed-related posts. Nothing is preventing you from doing that.
Chiming in that you don't want to see this content here isn't helpful and makes you seem insensitive at best and to be honest, kind of racist. Maybe you're not, but trying to silence the discussion anywhere is something racists do.
I'm sorry you need a safe space, but this is the time and place to talk about and address how the cannabis industry and community is going to respond to make change happen.

MA Laws Revolutionary Clinics Lawsuit – Fitchburg, MA
If you worked at Revolutionary Clinics at 1 Oak Hill Rd. in Fitchburg, MA, this might be important.
EDIT: PLEASE EMAIL [1oakhillemployees@gmail.com](mailto:1oakhillemployees@gmail.com) with any thoughts, questions, or concerns!! I am already getting quite a bit of traction with social media posts on this subject.
Several former employees have developed serious health issues since our time working there. A few examples:
- Growths found to be Suspicious for Malignancy (75%+) on the thyroid, kidneys, spine, and liver
- Malignant and extremely rare Neuro-Endocrine Tumors (NETs)
- Chronic fatigue
- Pain swallowing and speaking
- Chronic pain
- A general sense of being unwell
What’s strange is how much our symptoms overlap—and how many of us have similar diagnoses.
We believe that we were exposed to contaminants present at the property in the drinking and irrigation water, air, surfaces and infrastructure including heavy metals, endocrine disruptors and volatile organic compounds including but not limited to Mercury, Lead, (Radioactive) Cadmium, Chromium, Barium, formaldehyde, styrene, TCE, benzene and toluene as well as various bacterial and fungal contaminants present in the water and air, and suspect that other former employees of Rev may have developed similar ailments. Our investigation has revealed public, private and third party records that local soil and groundwater at the property has been determined to contain a variety of these hazardous materials stemming from previous industrial uses.
We’re moving forward legally, and we believe there are others out there—maybe you, maybe someone you know—who were also affected.
If anything about this sounds familiar, reach out. You don’t have to commit to anything, and everything shared is kept confidential unless you choose to join us.
This is about solidarity—no one should be facing this kind of thing alone. Too many of us are dealing with this quietly. It’s time to connect the dots. Join us in our effort to obtain compensation for injuries sustained from working in this environment.

Cannabis Company Closing Rumors
Someone in another post says Root & Bloom are closing their cultivation. Word on the street is Trade Roots is closing their doors on all operations this week.
2025 will be the year of massive closings and layoffs in the Massachusetts cannabis industry. What other rumors do we hear of companies who are in danger of closing?

Apothca Arlington- rude staff and high prices
I had an awful experience at Apothca Arlington. They staff are very rude and their prices are ridiculous. I got charged $110 for 7 grams. It was listed as 14g when I ordered online. After I walked out of the store I saw I was given two 3.5g packs. I immediately walked back in and tried to explain it was listed as 14g online. They talked over me and kept saying "no refund" which I understand but this was an issue and was trying to get help. They were so rude and asked me to leave. Which I did not do I was trying to get them to help me. They threatened to call the police because I wouldn't leave. A male employee picked up my purse and the 7g of flower I bought abs threw them outside to get rid of me. That's how they treat a long time customer. There are much better dispensaries in the area with better customer service and prices. I really like Ayr and Eskar.

Hlp plz RSO
Was wondering if anyone in the Fall River area had some connections with someone who makes rso. My mom is currently dealing with cancer and had been taking rso that seemed to be helping her but the guy I was getting it from isn’t in the area anymore. I’ve been picking up RSO from different local dispensary’s and nothing seems to be helping. She is not a medical card holder! Any tips or advice Is much appreciated!

Warning! I think I sold cannabis to an ICE agent
This happened a few days before the illegal disappearance of Rumeysa Ozturk. A gentleman came into my location and volunteer that he worked for “The department of homeland security”. Which if any govt official tells you this, they are hiding their real agency under the DHS umbrella. He was interested in tinctures to put in their coffee because, and I quote “they have a 12hr drive to Louisiana and I want them to be blasted”. I will omit other details but that is what stuck out to me.
It was only after hearing in the last day or so that Ozturk was shuffled around to NH and VT then eventually to LA that it all clicked. Be safe out there fellow stoners. And if anyone gives you reason to suspect you should not sell to them, take it serious and refuse the sale. Govt officials using quasi-legal (in the federal sense) cannabis to dose people they abduct off the street as a form of control, that goes against everything I got into this industry to accomplish and is a literal form of tyranny.

Rec NEA - White 99
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
This is the replacement oz I got for my moldy CAC (will not ever buy them again) smells like straight lemon pine doesnt really have much of a taste not sure what the terps are on here or any of those % so if anyone has that info please lmk but really clean smoke and when it does get a tasteful hit it tastes just how it smells which is really nice. The full oz was huge fluffy buds most weighing +- 2g but the trim job seems rough with a lot of leaves left on ever nug. The high isnt too strong but relaxing and slightly uplifting like a sense of relief. Anyway shoutout The Hempest for making this replacement easy as possible and all the employees for being helpful and informative.

Kynd $35 1/2 OZ 👌
Absolutely 0 complaints for the price and in comparison, has a decent flavor for only .8% terps and has the perfect moonsand grind with minimal leaves in it and crazy amounts of kief, it is good pre ground not shake. I can't believe this shit is on the market for the same price as some of these companies selling 100% dried fan leaves that aren't even ground as shake 🤣. Yes I'm aware of their shitty business practices too 🤣.

Great Barrington vs NY rec?
Been taking the trip up to great Barrington to stock up on flower for the past few years. However, the quality of NY rec has seemed to improve immensely over the past few months. I can get some of the best bud I've ever smoked for like $50 an eighth in NY. Looking for flower suggestions in the great Barrington area around the $25-$30 mark that would make the trips up there still worth it.

MA Laws This is it for medical patients!
Guys check out S.83 on the MA Legislator website! Finally some clarity and modernization to the medical program! Contact your legislators today!
https://malegislature.gov/Bills/194/S83/BillHistory
Summary from ChatGPT:
Bill S.83, titled “An Act to modernize Massachusetts medical marijuana program,” introduces several amendments to Chapter 94I of the General Laws aimed at enhancing the state’s medical marijuana framework. Key provisions include:
1. Expanded Definition of “Card Holder”: The bill broadens this definition to encompass individuals with valid patient registrations from any U.S. jurisdiction, thereby facilitating access for out-of-state patients.
2. Operational Flexibility for Treatment Centers: It removes the mandate for medical marijuana treatment centers to simultaneously cultivate, process, and dispense marijuana, allowing for more specialized operations.
3. Elimination of Capital Requirements: The legislation abolishes the necessity for applicants to demonstrate significant initial capital resources—previously set at $500,000 for initial licenses and $400,000 for subsequent ones—making entry into the medical marijuana industry more accessible.
4. Fee Adjustments and Social Equity Exemptions: The bill caps registration and license fees for medical marijuana treatment centers at $1,000 and exempts social equity businesses from these fees, promoting inclusivity within the industry.
These proposed changes aim to modernize the Massachusetts medical marijuana program by enhancing accessibility for patients and reducing financial and operational barriers for providers.
