[Request] Men's Everyday Pants under $100?
I have 13mwz for jeans. What should I get for business casual, chinos, lightweight, kinda outdoorsy, etc?
My style is kinda minimalist, and I do live in a warmer part of the united states.

I've been wearing DuluthFlex Firehose pants for a few years. I lived in Utah and then Texas and they're surprisingly cool. Basic colors like khaki, black, and blue are available in straight, relaxed, cargo, etc.
They've lasted me longer than anything else and the foreman style is just classy chinos. I've got four pairs and they're all nearly 5 years old and they're worn daily.

I'm an HVAC tech and have worn only these for three years. 5 pairs at a time. They get worn once and washed. I pair lasts about 104 washes and a.zillion cuts and tears.

Do yours have that scrunch fabric after so many washes? I tore one pair at the crotch, my other two get the bacon wrinkle scrunch all over in random spots. Figured it was the fabric but...

I used to get that in any pants that had stretch to them, but not I only wash them cold and air dry them. They last so much longer. So no I haven't experienced that in any of mine.

Yeah, the DuluthFlex dry fast enough that I've worn them straight out of the washer and they were dry when I got to where I was going. I either dry them on delicate or just hang them up.

It's something about how they get washed that does this to them. I'm not really sure why.

Absolutely amazing pants that went to crap after the company was bought. I moved from Utah to Wisconsin and have a Duluth outlet in my area. (Actually, I served a mission in Duluth 20+ years ago). Still worth picking up from the outlet store for half price or less. But I refuse to buy them new.
I recently discovered CRQ pants. I highly suggest them. No idea on longevity, but they feel nearly bomb proof. My favorites are the carpenter pants because every single pocket feels perfect. So many of them too.

Look at Lucky Brand 363 Vintage Straight chinos (little roomier and straight legged without being baggy) or 410 Athletic Straight (slightly slimmer and more fitted, but not skinny jeans style) depending on your preference.
Or Kuhl has all kinds of pants that may be more in line with what you're looking for if you're after a more work-wear / rugged look.

I’m a big fan of Lucky Jeans. I have a pair of khaki traveler pants by weatherproof (Costco) that are very lightweight and flexible. They are great for warmer days when I want to look a bit nicer than jeans.

Helikon Tex Grayman Tactical Pants are pretty nice. About $50, look like dark colored khakis. Slim fit

The Lululemon ABC 5 pocket pant in the warpstreme fabric is my current favorite. Well constructed, comfortable, stretchy, cool, quick drying, comes in a lot of colors. I have several pairs in different colors to match different outfits and they're the only kind of pant I have anymore. I never have to try on pants because I know the exact make/model/size that will fit me and so I can just order them as needed, or stick up when they go on sale. They're a bit more than $100 normally, but you can find them at the Lululemon outlets (whether they have your size can be an issue) and they often go on sale as low as $70 or so.

How long have you had them? I've heard great things but nothing long term?

I bought my first 3 pairs in 2022, I believe. They're still doing pretty well. The navy blue ones have started to discolor in the front from belt friction (but under where the belt goes, so nbd), and there's a zipper on the back pocket that creates a small patch of visible wear on the backside from all the sitting I do. Other than that, the stitching has held up really well and other usual friction points (over thighs) are solid. I did tear a pair on some barbed wire I was trying to get past. My wife mended it, though and i don't even remember which pair it was now.

I've been a fan of my carhartt pants. I avoided the distinctive colored ones, so the black/khaki/etc ones I got feel like they fit both in the office and out on the trail. Note that ordering online direct from their website will get you best results, other retailers can be hit or miss with quality.

I've got some Patagonia gray twill pants (almost like a chino or khaki but lightweight). Those pants gave me 3+ years of upscale casual wear before developing a wear point. Stitched it up and still rocking another year later. Normally I'd be lucky to get a year out of most pants

My wife found a pair of Victus Operatus XP pants at the thrift store and they're really great. Full price is $120, but they seem to go on sale regularly; I got a couple pairs for $80ea a few weeks ago. They're riddled with pockets, but they aren't noticeable like cargo pants or typical tactical pants. The fabric stretches and seems really durable so far.

I am a big fan of The Perfect Jean. They are lightweight and super stretchy. I also like 32 Below's 'sweatpants jean' and they are super cheap and good quality.

I have a pair of slimmer cut very dark indigo, wrangler rustlers that I wear as my dressier jeans.
I agree with the others, though, a slightly different belt, shoes, and shirt can totally dress up any pair of jeans.

I found these Weatherproof brand canvas pants at Costco a few months ago, and I love them.
They come in khaki, charcoal, and olive. I bought a couple pairs of each.
They're lightweight but durable, and they have 2% spandax so they flex and don't tear out like 100% cotton does.
Where I work, it's 85-90 everyday and about 80-90% humidity, and these pants are very comfortable even in this weather.
They're pretty classy looking pants, but I do a lot of physical work in them and they've held up great. Can't recommend them enough.
If you can ever find them at Costco, they're like $20-something a pair, otherwise try Ebay or Amazon but they cost more.

I'm currently working on finding the right size of Topo design dirt 5pocket pants through the mail. The material seems nice which is why I'm going through the trouble. I plan in trying the huckberry 365 pants next which offers more sizes and colors... since I can't find the straight BR rapid movement any more.

I don’t think anybody mentioned Sitka. They have several pants that aren’t specifically for hunting.

Kuhl make pants that last forever. I like the Revolvr model and their Kuhl Jean pants (not really jeans).

If you’re in a warm climate and want something lightweight, check out Uniqlo EZY pants or the Banana Republic Slim Traveler. Clean look, comfy, and under $100 if you catch a sale. I wear them with loafers or sneakers and they work great.

Don't know if they are your style but Red Kap makes some rugged long-lasting pants.

I just find whichever nondescript pair of pants at Costco comes in a couple colors and buy them. The ones I have “English Laundry”? Have been going strong for several years now, and they cost like $20 per pair. Look and feel great, have a little stretch to them, and I can wear them for literally everything from hiking to office to working in the backyard.

Prana Zion! They went back to their old design materials. I have had 5 pairs for 7-8 years!
