Language Question Modern Women = 新時代女性？

I’m not certain this title translation is correct, for I simply know modern’s definition is 現代, or maybe 現代 shares the same definition to 新時代，please change my mind

I’ve heard it too, 摩登女人could be more accurate than 新時代女性, prolly 新時代女性 is nowaday translation of modern in Cantonese

新時代 = "new era"?

Within the context of the video, I can see 新時代 can be equivalent to 現代.

To transliterate words:

"現" = Present, current (times)

"新" = New (as opposed to old)

They mean mostly the same thing, but there's subtle difference in implication.

現代女性 to (directly) refer to the modern (contemporary) woman, herself.

新時代女性 to (indirectly) refer to women who are in the modern age (today) doing things.

There's a subtle difference. Also, baidu the Chinese encyclopedia has an entry for 現代女性

It's not as black and white as the English terms "modern" (1950s) and "contemporary" (today)
