DIY body damage help What caused this?

We came out to our car and noticed the window was completely cracked. What would cause this? It seems like an odd angle for a rock to hit it, but it must have been something hard. Do you think someone was trying to break in with a glass breaker?

Pellet prob would be on the ground right there or still in it! BB's can bounce pretty far so might not find it!

Don't think it a bb gun, not many kids in my area and I didn't see anything near the ground.

Trust me it's a bb gun, I did it back in 2000 to a neighbor who hit my car everytime they park( bumper pushing..) got a bb gun and hit his car 3 times. He sold his fucking yaris after that

Adults shoot bbs, and the pellets can be very tiny (and round!).

Had an old coworker jealous that I got a promotion over him shoot my car with a BB gun multiple times and my window broke the exact same way.

Eh, if trying to break in, why stop there? It’s already 99% of the way done. Any neighborhood kids with a BB gun or slingshot?

More modern vehicles are using laminated side glass (in addition to it being required for the windshield) to improve sound. It also has the benefit of making it harder to break in.

OP's glass is definitely tempered. It's probably being held together by aftermarket window tint. Also it's only harder to get in if you care about leaving a mess.

Lawn people kicked up a stone, bb, or someone hit it with a emergency hammer

Something hit the window. Many things could have caused this. Looks like it was caused by someone hitting it

Someone was weed whacking nearby

Or a punch. It didn’t shatter because it’s safety glass.

Most likely a homemade glass breaker . They use the porcelain part of a old spark plug and they hit the glass with it. Usually has a homemade handle or they rope a shoestring through it to make it like a whip to hit the glass.

Glass guys have known to send kids to break windows for the business.

It’s the landscaping crew they hit a rock and it kicked it up and shattered your windshield.

BB gun or yard tool (lawn mower/weed eater) kicked up a rock/debris.

Not a car window but my brothers accidentally shot a glass door with a BB gun when we were kids. Exact same crack pattern

You were being a cunt and someone decided to take upon themselves to “teach” you a lesson.

I busted the back passenger window of my car once while I was mowing across the street from my car. The tint held the window together. I assume the mower chucked a rock from the gravel driveway.
