How is it best to fix this scratch

This is on the front of the car. Somebody was backing way too fast perpendicular to me and just nicked this line in front. I have their info, I don’t want to involve the insurance because it’ll be way more expensive, but I kinda want to have this fixed. What are my options?

Just polish with rubbing compound and do touch up with same colour paint...
