Met somebody who called this "The S.W.I.S.S."

Post image

San Juan, Whatcom, Island, Skagit, Snohomish

Definitely a vibe up here :)

As long as we don't go with a Kitsap, King, Kittitas grouping and acronym.

That is amazing, as a Whatcom resident I approve

K•SWISS (take your pick of King or Kitsap)

Eh, honestly I'd cut the line off at the Snohomish river at the Marysville-Everett Bridge.

Kitsap and North has its own separate vibe and harder to reach.

B/c this region is distinct from the Seattle Metro

Grew up in Snohomish County, now live in Kitsap. I would not include Kitsap - very much a separate thing, much closer to Jefferson, Mason, and maybe Clallam. Allies, for sure. But definitely a different world out here.

Lived in Kitsap all my life and kitsap has like nothing to do with the county’s in this photo. Definitely better to be paired with Jefferson and such

That would only work if it was Juan San

I love Jefferson County, too

*J as in Juan

Ok San Juan as SJ.

But I still love Port Townsend, Port Headlock, and Chimacum in Jefferson County

Yeah those are nice places. I'm living out in that vicinity currently. If it was up to only me I might buy land and build a family compound out there but my wife wants us to move back to civilization ASAP

Yes it is a little secluded on the peninsula. Especially when the hood canal bridge is down

I have lived and worked a long time in the Snohomish Canton, so this is accurate. However, with my travel patterns, anything north of Highway 20 might as well be BC.

I kind of love this. I don't think the area has much affinity towards Snohomish though. Idk

Ya know, I wonder why that game designers of post apocalyptic games never pick the PNW as a zone of survival?? We got a lot of craziness up here

The Last of Us Part 2 takes place in Seattle, but I wish there were more. There's also a mod for Fallout 4 in development called Fallout Cascadia.

I heard about those, haven’t played the mod for cascadia yet

"Hey what should we call this county made up of islands?"

Well it's at the end of the Strait of Juan de Fuca, how about 'San Juan'?

"Yeah, that's good. What about this other county of islands?"

I've already used my creative juices for today, just call 'Island', who's gonna care?
