At least they called and let op know her sister was missing her 🤷🏼‍♀️ they didn't haaaave to do that, but I also agree

Things get missed sometimes. They’re dealing with a lot of cats desperately trying to home them all. I’m not saying they went out of their way to separate them, just that someone made a mistake and corrected it. That’s totally honorable.

That's one possibility and I hope it's what happened.

Here's another possibility. It's easier to get someone to adopt one cat than it is two, so split the pair up, get one of them adopted and as soon as the adoptee cat has woven its way into its new hoomans' hearts, spring the other cat on them.
