It's amazing how they know. I've been sick all week and my guy has barely left my side, even when I'm asleep. I've had knee surgery twice and each time he spent 9 months in my lap, laying on my knee, purring on it all day. Even when he was picked up and moved away from me he just came right back as soon as he was set down again. I don't deserve this kind of care but I swear on all that I hold dear that I will do everything in my power to return it.

Pretty sure they can smell most sicknesses. Like when I visit the apartment of someone with a fever I can often tell by smell, imagine what a cat can all smell.

Sometimes it's that, sometimes it's probably more that their favourite petting machine is conveniently stationary, and also a lot warmer than usual

When I was stuck in the house for 10 days with Covid a few years ago, my oldest cat and my little dog were glued to me whenever I sat down or took a nap. Same when I came home from a minor hand surgery and had a huge wrap from the elbow down. We don't deserve animals ♥️

one of my dogs has her "babies". Which are dog toys that make little high pitched squeaks from their squeakers. She collects them and guards them from the other dog and gets very upset if the cats or people mess with them.

I had Knee surgery 1.5 years ago and was couch/bedridden for 5 weeks.

During that time one day she picked up a baby and gave it to me. My heart exploded. She would lay by me and hang out all day as I was home all day with nothing to do and in pain and miserable.

They're so lovely like my cats and dogs that care for each other especially when I'm not around.

The purring is healing

I'm sure that dog feels so much better with that cat tending to him.

I’m glad they have each other

It’s so surprising how animals show so much emotion for each other!

And people says cats don't show any love.

That's so wild to me because every cat I've ever known has been very expressive and affectionate.

I've seen this a few times before but it's still adorable (and sad).

"This is what the humans do to to make you feel better right-?"

Nah he started chewing the hose immediately

It’s all environmental as you’ve created a trusting and loving home atmosphere.

He’s probably getting ready to chew on the air hose, because cats are dicks like that!😂

I think cats and dogs might have another sense for when people are sad or sick. My cat just rubs close to me, and my outdoor dog stays at the door and watches me if I'm sick

Do y'all actually believe this? 🤦
