142

u/DrBarnabyFulton Feb 12 '25

Need some rugs to stop that echo!

11

u/Rosenate22 Feb 13 '25

It’s a damn echo chamber.

15

u/hax0rmax Feb 13 '25

Imagine sleeping over not knowing that this was gonna happen

318

u/SpankYourSpeakers Feb 12 '25

I thought someone was dying!

502

u/Skwiggelf54 Feb 12 '25

That's adorable! I wonder if she's deaf.

827

u/IMNOT_A_LAWYER Feb 12 '25

Bingo. She’s either completely deaf or close to it (she reacts to clapping or REALLY loud yelling - may just be the vibrations). Thankfully it doesn’t seem to bother her any, apart from her turning her own volume to 11

156

u/ballpitwitch Feb 12 '25

We had to say goodbye to our old deaf cat last summer. Still miss her loud ass every day 😹

85

u/kittybigs Feb 12 '25

My deaf old girl has also dialed it up to 11. She sounds just like your little old kitty.

18

u/peach_xanax Feb 13 '25

I had a deaf cat and he barely meowed at all, that's so weird! He was deaf from birth though, idk if it was the same with your cat?

21

u/kittybigs Feb 13 '25

Mine has only gone deaf in the last couple of years. She went from being an old kitty smoker to a really loud old kitty smoker. I have to announce my presence or I’ll startle her.

7

u/peach_xanax Feb 13 '25 edited Feb 14 '25

Ahh that's probably why! My cat was probably like, "what is a meow?" but yours was already familiar with the concept lol. Kitties with smoker voices crack me up.

8

u/This_Is_Just_To_Sigh Feb 13 '25

I am after that.

247

u/AskJayce Feb 12 '25

Love the direction. It's like a horror movie fake out--JESUS FUCK WHAT IS THAT SOUND IT'S RIGHT AROUND CORNER OH GEEZ OH FUCK OH GE oh it's just a cat, calm down. Nothing around to be afraid of

OR IS THERE

105

u/IMNOT_A_LAWYER Feb 12 '25

Glad to see I nailed the tension of “found footage” lol

2

u/weird-snail Feb 14 '25
  • vsauce music starts playing *

118

u/Nougatbar Feb 12 '25 edited Feb 13 '25

I love how she screams LIKE A BANSHEE IN PAIN. Until you turn the corner and it’s just “Mow.’

96

u/monkeykins Feb 12 '25

Sound like mine, all scraggly, but yours is 100x louder.

2

u/jtbxiv Feb 13 '25

She’s forceful 😳

274

u/Minute_Gas_7866 Feb 12 '25

OH LAWD HE COMIN

82

u/Dantendo64 Feb 12 '25

bro sounds like a metroid boss

6

u/Independent_Bet_6386 Feb 13 '25

😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

130

u/Venixed Feb 12 '25

Omg is that EVERYDAY, I couldn't cope

260

u/IMNOT_A_LAWYER Feb 12 '25

Every day AND every night!

She’s happy and the performance is usually pretty short lived, so I can live with it.

27

u/RedditsAdoptedSon Feb 12 '25

lol yes i love it 😻

7

u/Rosenate22 Feb 13 '25

She is so cute.

16

u/ginger__snappzzz Feb 12 '25

See I would love this lol

61

u/SyrusDrake Feb 12 '25

/r/catscarryingstuffies would love her!

11

u/Optimus_Ed Feb 13 '25

Noooo, not another cat sub! Subscribed.

1

u/SurprisePiss Feb 14 '25

Seriously, I've been collecting them lately.

2

u/Optimus_Ed Feb 14 '25

Same here. Not on purpose, but happy with the results. Much less doom in the feed now, because it's basically 50% cats.

Also, nice username.

2

u/weird-snail Feb 14 '25

Sigh... subscribes

45

u/Consistent_Gate9553 Feb 12 '25

Adori-Belle ❤️ and may I acknowledge the architect of the cardboard city in the corner. Nice eclectic use with danish modern dining set.

42

u/IMNOT_A_LAWYER Feb 12 '25

Haha we recently moved in. The cats aren’t mad about all of the bonus cardboard strewn about.

1

u/NightingalesEyes Feb 14 '25

stop & shop supremacy

40

u/Muschka30 Feb 12 '25

This is soooo funny! Omg bless him. He’s got some set of lungs.

36

u/PristineAlbatross988 Feb 12 '25

Omg. I’m so proud of grandma

3

u/snotrocket2space Feb 13 '25

She’s so perfect I couldn’t be more proud

30

u/X3N0PHON Feb 12 '25

LOL his screams got sooo much less deranged as soon as he saw “ah hooman has recognized my martial prowess!”

29

u/aubsKebabz Feb 12 '25

I CAUGHT A MOUSE!! DID YOU HEAR ME?? I CAUGHT IT! I CAUGHT THE-hi i caught a mouse :3

19

u/Hopeful-Confusion253 Feb 12 '25

My dog says dear lord is that cat ok???

18

u/mareneli Feb 12 '25

One of my cats left my lap when I played that! (It's okay, I still have two more on me)

20

u/Marksman1973 Feb 12 '25

THIS is a cat who yells.

That being said, good god almighty

19

u/dudebromandawgfam Feb 12 '25

You'd think that would hurt her throat 😆

16

u/ColonelClout Feb 12 '25

Stuck on max volume

2

u/jtbxiv Feb 13 '25

Blew the speakers

17

u/Shmarfle47 Feb 12 '25

These sound like horror game noises lmao

14

u/asteroidorion Feb 12 '25

17 years of faithful mouse hunting for you since you don't know how to do it

12

u/X3N0PHON Feb 12 '25

You have a beautiful cat AND a beautiful home! #lifegoals

13

u/tanyagrzez Feb 12 '25

Bro, that's an elephant

12

u/andrewjackSHUN Feb 13 '25

Thank you for posting a video that contains a cat that is actually yelling. 99% of these videos are of cats lightly meowing and it's great to see the real deal once in awhile

10

u/musikfreakster Feb 12 '25

I’m dying 😂 my deaf cat does this.

6

u/AussieMom92 Feb 12 '25

I also have a 17yo kitty who sounds verryyy similar to this. The first time she did it I ran downstairs because I thought something was wrong with her. Turns out she just wanted attention.

5

u/PallbearerOfBadNews Feb 12 '25

Is her name Banshee?!

6

u/YouKnewWhatIWas Feb 12 '25

I love her. Definitely going deaf haha

8

u/Prezidentblue Feb 12 '25

Satan! GET BACK!!

4

u/alli-light Feb 12 '25

She got SOMETHING TO SAY

6

u/Imaginary_Key1281 Feb 12 '25

I think my heart stopped and the hairs on my neck stood up..until I saw the adorable kitty. I never heard that sound in my life..and I owned a cat rescue!

7

u/Creative-Praline-517 Feb 13 '25

My cat does the same thing with his mousie. But if catches me looking at him he'll drop it and saunter off. Nothin to see here. Nope. Nothin to see!

8

u/IMNOT_A_LAWYER Feb 13 '25

I’m honestly surprised she hung onto the mouse here! When she’s spotted she usually switches to the normal meow, drops it, and prances away.

6

u/Sparklefists26 Feb 12 '25

I adore her.

6

u/Joyous_catley Feb 12 '25

That is definitely a Cat Who Yells.

5

u/hegrillin Feb 12 '25

that is not at ALL what i expected to hear

5

u/sassy_snek Feb 13 '25

My cat did NOT like that sound 😂 he puffed up like a toilet brush

3

u/ajtreee Feb 12 '25

Is he deaf?

5

u/DragonFlyCaller Feb 12 '25

Awwwwee!! Let’s make him the president of this sub ;)

5

u/Suicidalsidekick Feb 13 '25

Holy shit I thought it was an elephant.

4

u/aldashin Feb 13 '25

lmao, she sounds like a horror movie

3

u/5lash3r Feb 12 '25

oh my gosh she is a sweet baby

3

u/Ok_Anything_4955 Feb 12 '25

She’s still “got it”! What a hero!!

3

u/cheersi_idk Feb 12 '25

Death whistle

3

u/Rollieboy2012 Feb 13 '25

I have a 21 year old cat. His meows are pretty extreme. But your cat definitely out does mine.

3

u/EFCF Feb 13 '25

I like how the screaming grows in volume and intensity as we watch the clip progress.

3

u/CyberPolack Feb 13 '25

Mine does the same with his mouse and can maybe even give OPs a run for his money. Just need to get him on camera somehow.

3

u/IMNOT_A_LAWYER Feb 13 '25

She has a sixth sense for the camera and it was a small wonder that I was able to capture this hah

3

u/Furby-beast-1949 Feb 13 '25

My cat is giving a dirty look in the direction of my phone

3

u/Fabulous_Cry_5313 Feb 13 '25

Loud and proud.

Beautiful.

You're so lucky you get to enjoy this every day. ☺️

(Sincere post from another 17 year old owner)

3

u/Vpk-75 Feb 13 '25

TAKE ALL THE AWARDS EVER!!!!! 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌

3

u/me_a_genius Feb 13 '25

Loved this era of Formula 1

2

u/xultar Feb 12 '25

Da fuq.

2

u/QueenMelle Feb 13 '25

One of my orange idiots also loves to yell with a toy in her mouth.

2

u/idprefertomeep Feb 13 '25

My 17 year old does the exact same thing! Same volume (we can hear it outside if the windows are open), many times a day. He's insatiable!

2

u/frobscottler Feb 13 '25

r/perfectlycutscreams but she cut it herself 😂

2

u/peach_xanax Feb 13 '25

Holy shit, I've never heard a cat yell so loud in my life

2

u/pattih2019 Feb 13 '25

My Lord she's gonna bust a vein with that screaming!! 😂😂😂

2

u/plantkittywitchbaby Feb 13 '25

On of my guys does this. Day and night. Almost as loud. It’s adorable and exhausting at times.

2

u/ElectricalWorry4628 Feb 13 '25

I already watched the whole thing. I know the source is a little cat. And yet, my instincts automatically tense me up in anticipation of some primordial bird of prey

2

u/babbling_ Feb 13 '25

Omg 🤣

2

u/BlakLite_15 Feb 13 '25

The fact that she cuts herself off as you round the corner is incredible.

2

u/Fool_In_Flow Feb 12 '25

It looks like the room is made from Elmer’s glue

1

u/schroobster Feb 13 '25

Why you so slow picking up your breakfast mouse from Kitty???? Don't make him wait for you!!!!

1

u/ThatssoBluejay Feb 13 '25

Trex cat 🐈

1

u/Psych0matt Feb 13 '25

Like the deck boards?

1

u/Pale_Philosopher_295 Feb 13 '25

This is incredible.

1

u/Imincognitobitches Feb 13 '25

Holy fuck that cat has some crazy lung power lol

1

u/SouthwesternEagle Feb 13 '25

Your house is cleaner than most hospitals. OMG.

1

u/IMNOT_A_LAWYER Feb 13 '25

With two cats and a dog, those white floors are a nightmare lol

1

u/restlessmonkey Feb 13 '25

That would be a great sound effect for something!! ;-)

1

u/Sad_Head_2229 Feb 13 '25

I watched this like five times! She is so fucking cute

1

u/canihelpyoubreakthat Feb 13 '25

Holy shit 🏆🏆🏆 just sticky this post

1

u/SeaWeedSkis Feb 13 '25

Now that is a yell.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 13 '25

Thats an elephant, if I ever heard one. 😭♥️

1

u/firemeetsgasoline37 Feb 13 '25

Your neighbors want to know where your newborn human is. Haha. My deaf boy does the same thing.

1

u/Commercial-Skin-2527 Feb 13 '25

She could be confused and have dementia. Our old cat yacted that way.

1

u/IMNOT_A_LAWYER Feb 13 '25

Her eggs are definitely a little scrambled but she only does that when playing with the mouse (or demanding that we turn on the faucet)

1

u/juksbox Feb 13 '25

Sounds like raptor dinosaur behind the corner in Jurrasic Park

1

u/Vpk-75 Feb 13 '25

Wow you sure it isnt an ELEPHANT calling?? 😳😳😳🤭🤭

1

u/Character-Poetry2808 Feb 13 '25

Both my boys do this, carry the toy and scream, though normally before dinner, not breakfast.

1

u/diagnostics247 Feb 13 '25

I'm glad I am not the only one with a cat who screams with a toy in their mouth.

1

u/BubblesForBrains Feb 13 '25

Your kitchen floor is so clean!!

3

u/IMNOT_A_LAWYER Feb 13 '25

With 3 pets and white floors, that lasts all of five minutes :(

1

u/SlamMonkey Feb 13 '25

You guys hear the acoustic in here?!

1

u/jtbxiv Feb 13 '25

I was not prepared 💀 😂

1

u/Pjcas51 Feb 13 '25

We need breakfast

1

u/RestillHabb Feb 14 '25

My cat does this every night!! She leaves me in bed to find one of her mice and proceeds to wail, with the mouse in her mouth, around the house and up the stairs, and back into my room where she finally drops it. Every single night!

1

u/AdeptnessOptimal7151 Feb 15 '25

He sounds miserable about being alive

1

u/WeNeedAnApocalypse Feb 15 '25

Wow she's loud and proud lol

1

u/coco_frais Feb 15 '25

Sir 😂 😂

0

u/KenRation Feb 13 '25

Turn your camera the right way when shooting video. So much funnier.

0

u/WizardSleeves31 Feb 13 '25

Those steps are hard to see

2

u/IMNOT_A_LAWYER Feb 13 '25

Our 12 year old dog agrees with you 😭
